Hoax: Hate crime attackers: "This is MAGA country."

What he did was selfish and clouds the pain of others who actually do suffer homophobia and racism.

Wow. Your ignorance is astounding. Jussie made it worse for people who do actually experience racial and homophobic offenses. Do you see that? He is a classic narcissist and probably believes his own lies. No one should have pity for him.

sunbeams dancing....violins playing....birds chirping...soft breezes in the air...

Yes, we should all work to gain a better understanding of mental health issues. Completely agree.

PP here. I've said all along that I think he needs help for mental health issues; however, I don't think the purpose of his actions was "an incredible risk to shine some visibility on the rights of others."

+1 He's made a mockery of their pain.

You may be a troll. If not, then listen to the earnest message shared by the police chief. His words ring sincere and true.

Impressive statement that laid everything out.

Had the police not done such a good job, the "crime" would not have been solved and Jussie would have continued to get the sympathy and publicity (for a while) that he desired.

I am also extremely impressed with the brothers' lawyer. Sounds like she worked out a good deal for them and helped justice in the process.

That is a very good message shared by the chief.

We're counting on it.

I wonder how this will affect his siblings, Jurnee specifically. She's the most well known and successful out of all of them. Most recently she's been cast in the sequel to the DC Comic film Suicide Squad called Birds of Prey. She has a starring role as Black Canary and it's filming now. Imagine the questions she will be asked during her press interviews.

I'll admit I'm a fan of hers and have seen most of her films. So far, she seems to be publicly supporting him, at least according to her IG page. I wonder if she continues to do so if it will have a negative impact on her career. Obviously, Jussie's career in Hollywood is over. His credibility is forever damaged.

Wow what a statement! Really impressed. Wonder if the brothers told the police Jussie wasn’t satisfied with his salary or how they know that.

During the press release he said they learned that from the brothers.

Me either.

However, isn't "presser" a Britishism? Do you feel peckish when it's nearing lunchtime?

You should tell that to the MAGA idiots who were speculating from day 1...was it that hard to wait for the police statement?

He is the villain. He took the "incredible risk" (commonly known as committing a CRIME) for personal gain. The accusations to Trump supporters was just an extra boost to the publicity--he wasn't really hurt and the story would not have had legs had he not included the HATE crime. The fact that he hates Trump just supports his story.

What I don't understand is how he did that interview with Robyn Roberts. I guess that shows how much he wanted publicity.

But Blasey Ford did the exact same thing--made a fraudulent complaint of an assault--and completely got away with it (at least so far).

Why are you singling out Justine for punishment and not Blasey Ford?

Is it because he's black?

Is it because he's gay?

You wouldn't be some kind of racist homophobe, would you?

Hold on, where is the proof of your allegation against Ford?
