This is why the minutia matters to viewers. The personal connections they can make with the show. That’s why people do/don’t like the small details or setting or tree or fire or amount of snow or commuting time or concert venue or twin relationships or vending machine scene etc etc. Great shows do these things well.

I’m the one who posted about the propping up after the MRI and, yes, we used to have closer to this type of marriage. Definitely gushing love and loved spending time together (not Jack’s ability to reassure/save) but kids killed that.

How old are your kids? Rebecca and Jack had hard years while the kids were young.

I'm the other PP who said my DH had this once but our kids stress us out now. We have a 3 year old who doesn't love sleeping. Good reminder...maybe we'll get back there if we don't do too much damage between now and then.

I'm actually surprised that Randall doesn't have an addiction gene, as both his parents were addicts. I like Randall - he makes me laugh and he's such a good father and husband - but lately, he's been so annoying. Too goofy, or something.

Randall does have an addiction gene. He is addicted to perfection.
