Problem is the increasing chance of being reported by IB parents tired of the overcrowding situation. I reported two cases in 6th grade. I know that one of the two kids (living by Gallery Place) was not re-admitted for 7th grade. I lost track of the second kid, I do not know if still at school. But many parents are increasingly reporting it, the issue has been reviewed by the PTO too , with recommendation to inform the school administrators in case one got to know of residency cheating cases.

No financial penalty. The students can be expelled and it's up to the Principal to enforce this immediately, or wait until the end of the school year.

And in "go along, get along DCPS" what course do you think most principals will choose? -- that is, unless parents of legitimately enrolled students make it clear that they are fed up with overcrowding and residency cheating. Students who are fraudulently enrolled should be kicked out immediately as a deterrent to others.
