Men: how do you feel about women who get regular botox, fillers, etc?

Anonymous
I sooo wish mine would get botox and I'd gladly pay for it. She really needs it. Her body is great but her face does not match her age. Too much sun and smoking has ruined it.

No botox. No fillers. No plastic surgeries.

A woman that’s willing to age gracefully is far more attractive than someone who’s trying to hold on to youth artificially.
Yes but, not all age gracefully. If you have the face of a 60 year old woman in your 40s, Botox might be a good step to take.

Exactly. It’s wonderful to look great at your age but what if you don’t? Also, I do notice a lot of men on threads saying they don’t like boob jobs or reductions or any work. But then so many saying they are so happy their wives have ‘nice breasts, still perky after kids!’etc.

Men like the idea of aging gracefully as long as you still look hot.

Not really. Botox applied well is not obvious.

This is what people who get Botox tell themselves.

This is what people who are too poor or too silly not to get Botox need to believe as their 11s become permanently ironed between their eyes

This is what someone who is 40 but looks loos 19 knows. Great genes, great skincare, and I can spend my money on anything I want to sense I don't have to pay a fortune pumping my skin with who knows what pretending it makes me look better. I can also still blink and wink.

And you can without botox. I'm sorry you're married to and have only known dimwit men in your life.

You'd be wrong.

I’m almost 50 and I feel like when I was young women didn’t do any of this. Now everyone gets mani/pedi, public hair waxed or lasered off (and often other hair as well), Botox, fillers, not to mention hair extensions and dye and actual plastic surgery. It’s amazing to me how pervasive all this is.

I don’t do any of it. I’m lazy and I guess I don’t care all that much what I look like.

I agree. When are we going to figure out what’s valuable is in the brain 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not the brain as far as intelligence ,but the brain as far as the goodness, kindness and empathy in your heart.

I’m glad you are saving money because you are so naturally stunning. Perhaps you should invest your money in an education.

No need to get testy. I’m sure a lot of women do look hot without Botox. A lot of women look better with it, too. It is what it is, bud.

Ha okay so my mom says this, that what’s on the outside really doesn’t matter, and she looks insane. I’m sure both PPs would judge her appearance pretty harshly. She doesn’t get good haircuts and hair is constantly frizzy, she wears no makeup ever, and she just wears whatever she happens to see from goodwill, no matter the pattern or fit or brand (she does buy good-quality stuff though).

I adore my mom, but I want to put more effort into my appearance. And that doesn’t mean I don’t know that it is far from the most important thing in life.

And of course the next question is at what point is too much when it comes to putting effort into your appearance? How different is, say, teeth whitening from Botox? Yes Botox is more invasive but they are both expensive cosmetic procedures you don’t need.

DP, but who are you calling testy? That statement was just that: a statement.

What is with women coming on these threads to declare they look 20 years younger (they don’t) and have perfect skin? Like obviously if you were blessed with good skin that still looks great you wouldn’t be considering work.

I’m 30 and I have great skin without use of any fillers or Botox. I’m not going to go off on much older women who aren’t aging well about how I’m superior. I say get the work you want done. Bunch of biddies out there trying to look down their noses at people who want to look their best.

The pp talking about “dimwit men” in my life. It sounded like they were getting a little hot under the collar. Personally, I do think there is an expectation for women to “look hot” but that there is also a lot of contradictory pressure to”be natural”. Maybe the pp doesn’t agree and thinks this is just a few guys a know but I believe it to be a larger scale cultural problem.

This is my mom. 61 and claims people are always shocked when she tells them her age. She looks every day of it and is deluded. And needs a neck lift.

🤮 I prefer my women to look natural. I’m 55. My girlfriend is 54. She is extremely good looking for her age, but she uses no fillers and no plastic surgery and I liver her just the way she looks.
