We tried out with our younger daughter at several places with deadlines. All we had to do was tell them we needed more time and they were fine. We did not feel like anyone was pressuring us to sign up, despite the deadlines. I mean - they need to know at some point, right?!? |
They do but some like to pressure you in the hopes that you will be forced to pick them and not some other team. You are lucky they haven't pressured you for a decision as it does happen often - and it typically backfires in the long run. |
About 10 or 11 NL 27 girls were offered spots this week and given a week or so to commit. |
Same with STARS |
Interesting, that must be on a age/year basis for Stars. |
If your daughter tried out a couple of weeks ago I would definitely check with her coach. Invites went out and committed is expected soon. |
This is for girls new to Stars. Additionally they are still forming the teams as girls are being evaluated that couldn't make the initial tryout date. |
| They likely offer the top 10-11 girls that are "definite wants" then if any decline, they continue down the list/ have the others come to the next tryout to continue to get a few more looks. |

Additional stars date added, Wednesday July 21st.

| Rebels changed tryout dates. Moved them up a week. Guess they want to try to scoop up girls before they already commit to another team. |
| Was Bethesda able to get two teams per age group? They seemed to have a lot of girls at tryouts. Wondering how it will all shake out. |
For what age group? Curious to where they are all coming from. |
| They seemed to have a ton at the first day with the younger age groups 2031-2028. |
They have a big rec program, so it would be a lot of those girls looking to move up. Just checking MGLL site now and they have 10 1st/2nd grade teams, 6 3rd/4th grade teams and 4 5th/6th grade teams. So there are a lot of girls in their pyramid. |
Wow that is pretty impressive, hats off to them. |
