Coming up with sh!tty data to in an effort to keep other people’s kids out of school isn’t harmless.

Then you should be angry at Williamsburg for posting its sh*tty data and not at the people in here who merely noticed the sh*tty data and said hey wtf?

People in here are not trying to keep your kids out of school. You need to calm down.

Talking about the infamously bad ventilation data. And yes, people were indeed trying to keep schools closed until they met benchmarks generated by using that infamously bad data.

Water under the bridge, but get out of here with “harmless.”

You mean...the estimates used because APS couldn't be bothered to provide actual data?

Would have been easier/faster if APS just did the appropriate calculations upfront...

How can anyone get into hysterics over this?

Have you ever met another APS parent? The hysterics are unrelenting. This last year, the difference is that everyone had an actual situation prompting their hysterics.

Probably because it’s family reported and they figured the school already knows since they were the ones that pulled the kids. I think the QUALTRICS data is super unreliable. At WMS alone in the past week there’s been over reporting of staff and under reporting of close contacts. It’s not clear these reports are very useful.

They’re not very useful, but ventilation ladydemanded a dashboard and this is what APS was able to give them.

Fixed it for you. I know no one IRL who even looks at the dashboard.

She wasn’t the only one. The husband of one of the lawyer ladies has also been very vocal about a dashboard on AEM.

So none of the SCIENCE and DATA people actually want DATA via a dashboard?

If it’s preliminary and inaccurate, no.

Certainly not if the data doesn’t fit their narrative

I can't even with Arlington anymore at this point. The same people who are in hysterics when it rains and it's 33 degrees outside have now kept our schools closed in NOVA for a year. I am worried the hysterics are going to continue and we won't actually launch 5 days a week school in the fall. There are already people advocating against it, who want their particular special option of choice. If Duran caves and offers any choice other than 1) in-person 5 days with in-person teachers or 2) county-wide virtual I may lose my mind.

The "safe" open crowd is a joke. They are the never open crowd.

How do you know if it is or isn’t if you don’t look at it?

So you all DO want a dashboard - if it were more accurate?

the open crowd is a joke. They claimed to care about safety but never did. They don't want any safety measures. They are lobbying against distancing and complain about masks.

Thanks for sharing, good to know the system is working the way it’s supposed to.

Not sure about that --

I didn't see any contacts reported on the dashboard yesterday, not sure about today, haven't looked

Nope. Don’t want a dashboard at all. I assume there will be cases in my kids school. That’s the risk I assumed when I sent my kid back. If my kid in in close contact I’ll be notified. I don’t care about cases otherwise.
