Four (4!) positive cases reported by staff over the last two days from the link on the dashboard -- are those three positive cases reported less than 10 minutes apart just a mistake or is that for real?

But there are no positive student cases at Williamsburg and no close contacts reported either -- it's the latter that seems unlikely. Wouldn't some of these be teachers and therefore wouldn't some in person kids have had contact in a classroom with those teachers? I'm a little confused about how they arrive at these numbers, but 4 staff members from one school in two days seems like a lot, sheesh! |
Wouldn’t these people be vaccinated? |
Why would you expect close contact reports for students from the past two weeks in connection with staff members who only got their positive test results the past day or two? |
Isn't it also possible that it is an admin staff and maybe there won't be a ton of close contacts |
Or the student page will update with 4 pages of “close contacts” after the health department does contact tracing? |
Sounds like a staff cluster. A lot of the research on covid in schools has shown that adults failing to take precautions are a big factor. |
Likely cafeteria workers - a cluster of staff and have to be there with kids unmasked for a couple hours. |
As for the time reported, if the school can push through the data. It's not that the people all got their results within 10 minutes of each other. |
Probably cafeteria workers. They are the only ones working closely together. |
Could also be a special Ed classroom. I’ve had up to 5 adults in my room before. |
I hope everyone is ok. |

Or teachers eating together in a staff room at lunch? I don't know how they handle lunch there. |
Will be interesting to learn more, considering most have been vaccinated. Of course that doesn’t prevent all infection but to have 6 staff positives is certainly something to look into. |
Maybe they had an in-person meeting or lunch. That's how most of the transmissions happen. |
