What's with all the positive Covid cases in staff at Williamsburg?

How exactly is she affiliated?

The twitter person basically told us who foiaed Mary's emails to the Board, which apparently is an active APE member. Why would they do that, if not to support Kadera's campaign in the most juvenile way possible?

Just because someone "supports" Kadera (or was at least curious about who FOIAed her messages) doesn't mean it's someone who is working on her campaign or affiliated with her in any way.

I think FOIAing the FOIAer is pretty funny myself. And I'm not affiliated with either campaign.

I don't know. No one sane would spend FOIA $$$$ to just post to a troll Twitter page, which btw are liked by some Smart Restart organizers. So either Smart Restart people really aren't as "smart" as their name implies, or Mary's campaign just has it out for Miranda. Or both. No one else would have cared this much about exposing the first FOIA person.

Meh. After the FOIA door is opened...

I honestly don’t care if one of Kadera’s supporters or SR did it. It’s not like it’s meant to be confidential. Haven’t you ever sent/received an email to APS? It’s all “public”.

It’s nothing compared to the drama around the last caucus.

Can someone give me the quick summary of the candidates? Are either of them “fringe” or are they both relatively normal? Would either be bad to have on the board? Is the biggest difference that one has taken the position that she would, hypothetically, advocate for more in person instruction right now if she were on the board already, and the other is more focused on getting our ducks in a row for next school year, when she would actually be a board member? Those don’t strike me as actual differences given that both are aiming for full time in person school - I’d love for someone to read me in on whatever isn’t being said.

They're both relatively normal though there will be people trying to convince you otherwise. Kadera has been more involved over the years in PTA leadership and probably knows more about APS in general but I haven't seen anything that makes me think that Turner would not perform well on the school board. Both of them have more prior involvement and knowledge of APS than Diaz-Torres before her election, so there's that.

This is petty local politics at its finest. Creating an anonymous Twitter account solely to criticize a parent Facebook group created solely to criticize the school board decisions. Never change, Arlington.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I'm just noting that I am an anonymous person posting on an anonymous website about these things and so are you.

I never said I don't enjoy it.

And just in case they unfollow, what say you APS Hear Our Voice?

.... and they unfollowed. Screenshots live forever though!

Who cares? I follow those I agree with and those I don't agree with just to see what nonsense they're throwing down. A Twitter follow is not an endorsement.

I connect dots. Some people/groups aren't as pure as they portray.

Right? And the fact that lawyer lady's husband started the conversation, and then linked that nasty twitter handle to the community says everything I need to know about Smart Restart and maybe Mary Kadera. I hope she's not linked with them.

She's also one of the only two FB friends who started the Williamsburg post on AEM (who claims here they started this one too). Look at that account, 2 friends and she's one of them.

I'm the person who started both Williamsburg threads, just coming back to this thread after a few days amazed that it's still going (wut?). I don't really understand what people are talking about now and that's okay, but I saw the above. I was honest from the beginning! I don't post much on facebook or know many people there. I automatically became friends with someone on AEM a few days ago when I received a message about why the thread had disappeared from the feed there and responded to it (the post had gone to "limbo" because I tried to edit the main post when the numbers changed; I think the mod lost track of it for a while). I am not part of some nefarious plot with my bestie to fool you all into ... I dunno ... looking at dashboard stats! I only had one facebook friend when I started both threads, ha.

I mean, I guess I'm being a detective myself in searching out the dashboard stats and reading them like tea leaves so I can't really fault you. Live by the Internet Detective Squad, die by the Internet Detective Squad. It's weird having obsessive Arlington people go through my facebook page though. Did you find my obsession with Dan Bern? (Free plug for Dan Bern!)

I don't really understand the furor here or who is on what side or which anonymous group is better than which other anonymous group. I don't have a problem with my new friend contact person. While I'm here tho I would just like to take this opportunity to confess and take credit for the joke about Williamsburg acting thirstier than Chrissy Teigen and point to this as my best memory from this thread. I am a silly nerd that looks at numbers and only has 2 facebook friends in the whole world, truly a cause for pity, but i would like to point out that some of you guys are even weirder and more internet obsessed than I am and those seem to be the same people who are telling me I'm an idiot with too much time on my hands so make of that what you will.

OP, you seem like a decent person. The number one rule of DCUM is to never admit that you know anything about it in real life or under your own name. Number two rule is to hide any potentially identifying information because people will try to triangulate and figure out who you are. Now you know!
