What's with all the positive Covid cases in staff at Williamsburg?

Anonymous
Yes, particularly since there are zero close contacts in the student report.

Whoa, what the heck is going on up there?

Is this your hobby stalking the Covid report? Waiting for the massive outbreak to shut it all down?

Seriously ventilation lady, get a life. No one wants to see your graphs and charts on this.

You don't think 6 positive cases in staff at one school in 2 days is significant? Is this a tribe thing, where you deny facts because they don't fit into the position you want to argue?

I don't know who the ventillation lady is and my kid goes to school in hybrid right now. We are not full time virtual and I fully support opening the schools more, especially for kids who need it. However I do think 6 staff cases in 2 days at this one middle school is a lot. And I wonder whether this isn't a case where they should be testing the kids whether they have fevers or not, depending on what exposure those positive cases had to the kids, because we all know that kids can contract the virus but not have any symptoms, and that can be how you get a major spread event.

I do check the covid dashboard links for new instances at our school before I send our kid in for his in person days though. Is that overkill? It seemed like a responsible thing to do since the information is out there.

I do too, its good for awareness. Its actually been great to see there are very few cases in person.

Ugh. Hopefully they were given time off so they could go get vaccinated back in the initial round of vaccinations.

APS should offer on-site vaccinations -- and testing for all who request it.

clearly, low-information staff refusing to get vaccinated and also refusing to mask/distance.

No one wants to hear whining from irrational losers like you.

If this was 6 food people working in the cafeterias then it would seem likely that some of that would spread to the kids who stand in line to get their food, no?

Clearly you lack comprehension skills. Where in this post is whining?

Go start another chart. I'm sure AEM will eat it up.

This. Our biggest outbreaks came from the teacher lunchroom and custodian offices.

The teacher cluster resulted in 4 classrooms quarantining for 2 weeks.

Honest question. So what do you do if you see cases at your school?

My kids are back. I fully expect there to be cases. I understood that was the risk when I decided to send them. I figure if they were in close contact we'd be notified.

Within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes? No, that seems unlikely unless the line didn't move at all.

Yes, and potentially some of the 100 kids that sit unmasked in the room.
