Thank you so much for getting us out of a tough situation in Dallas and Houston! We froze during a cold snap and could not provide power to the people. The homes we service were required to go on rolling power outages at a time when they really needed heat! We felt so bad. Coming to the rescue to unfreeze us was a very kind gesture. It’s important we work together.

From Gov Abbot:

"The Texas power grid has not been compromised. The ability of some companies that generate the power has been frozen. This includes the natural gas & coal generators.
They are working to get generation back on line. ERCOT & PUC are prioritizing residential consumers."

The population of the US is becoming increasingly more difficult to govern from DC. Devolution of real power back to local levels may be inevitable - but there are many forms that could take.

And just like Britain - Texas was ready for anything. Oh, that's right the island is now begging the European Union for food? Weird. And Texas is asking for the United States government to send emergency aid? So Weird.

And if their infrastructure adhered to federal standards and included cross boarder connections, they wouldn't be having this issue.

Just sayin'

Especially climate change deniers who won't embrace that events like this will happen with greater frequency.

And it was petroleum that got them out of the bind: A helicopter running on fossil fuel spraying a chemical made from fossil fuels onto a wind turbine made with fossils fuels

Maybe the governor of Texas is lying? Is there a secretive cabal in the basement of the Alamo siphoning off their electricity?
