Studio McGee Netflix Show

I was glad she has a show because I think the tips and watching the decision-making process helps me in making my own home decorating choices. I like taking more risks with color on textiles, walls etc. but in terms of mixing hardware, mixing furniture styles, how to pair wood tones, artwork and furniture placement and getting a cohesive flow to your home - the show is fun to watch for that type of stuff. One of my fav design shows from back in the day was Candice Olson's show on HGTV.

I loved Candice Olson. I miss her.

I watched a couple episodes because of this lively thread, and boy, what a dumb show. I don't get the point. There's no element of learning about the design process (if they even have one). All we do is meet the clients, hear their sad story, and 3-2-1 here's a finished room that looks just like every room they've ever done before.

Regarding the husband being gay, I'll admit he's a bit effeminate but he seems extremely socially awkward if not somewhere on the spectrum. That doesn't mean a man is gay. If you saw a gay man on TV who "acted straight" would you say "I hope his partner knows he's with a straight man, look at the way he acts, he's so manly." Please.

They have zero chemistry. And did you all see the episode where he *jokes* about being a fluffer???

Same. We just moved and some of our old stuff doesn't work in our new house (space/size/layout) so I need to purchase a bunch of new pieces and plan the overall look. I was hoping to learn something from this show, but there was no design content.
