Guys Hogan is not that amazing. Just because he looks good next to Trump does not mean he's a good governor or would be a good ::shudder:: president.

I think what this shows is that when the states were left to fend for themselves... sometimes it didn’t work out that great.

I'm a Maryland resident who is really pleased with the job that Hogan has done with Covid (unlike how I have felt about what he has done about other things in our state). I think he would make a good candidate for President over all of the other Republicans being discussed as having aspirations for 2024. However, I'd likely never, ever cross party lines to vote for him because at the end of the day...he's a Republican.

No he hasn't. He's barely communicating with the counties. His administration was trying to screw over child care providers in MoCo because MoCo isn't opening up more during the huge Covid surge. The Purple Line is a disaster. The only thing he's "fantastic" at is not being a Covid denier.

I was happy with him in the beginning of the pandemic but have not been recently. Maryland's numbers are spiraling out of control and he is doing a bunch of wishy-washy half measures and nonsense. He provided no guidance to school systems and then trolled them when they came up with plans he didn't like, and continued to troll as numbers rose. Now he's suddenly silent on the matter. And seems to think that corona is only transmitted in bars between 10pm-6am.

He's not as bad as most other Republican governors but that is a low bar to clear. I was pleased with his decisive leadership in the spring but ever since it has been typical two-faced rubbish.
