Are these kids from Mosby?

My kids go to a nearby school....I sure hope FCPS doesn't offload them to our school.

Do your kids know if they are there now? My DS says the main perpetrator is “suspended indefinitely” during the investigation but is unsure if the others are still at school. Like PP, my kid knows (but is not friends with) 2 of the kids involved; he knows one other kid just by name. Also says bullying of the victim has been ongoing.

My kid saw the victim today. Did not see the others. The other 4-5 need to be expelled.

Hope the parents sue those families for every penny!

Affluenza will be cured real quick when mom and dad and siblings are residing in a motel!

Oakton and Chantilly are huge schools. It doesn’t mean 5600 kids should be tagged with the misbehavior of a half dozen bullies at Oakton or the drug dealing murderer from Chantilly a while back.

I see what you did there with the deflection. The Chantilly “drug dealing murderer” thing was circa 2000. And the perpetrator was someone who had graduated from Chantilly a few years before. So no, Chantilly probably should not be getting a bad rap for that, unless we want to look at every crime committed by every alum of every FCPS high school.

Now, crimes committed by current students against current students while they are directly under school supervision and in the recent past? Oakton has a Woodson suicide cluster-exploding chem lab level streak going on.

Bullying policies are very loose - the system is jammed with parents of troublemakers trying to deflect (ie: drug sealer kids' parents trying to bring other kids' down, who have nothing to do with anything). It's bad. I have seen blatant physical assaults go unaddressed, the perp still walking free right after it happened (on school grounds, during school hours, on crystal clear school surveillance). Also, the kids that are are thrown out can choose another school, like some of the new schools that have appeared in the area in recent years. People should know.
