I wonder if there is any space on the planet that does not qualify as a "children's entertainment area" in this family's minds.

From the article linked above:
In a statement, the Wiegand family said: "The family is shocked by the deplorable and disgraceful misconduct that led to the release of this footage. The family's sole motivation for not releasing the video was to protect their older child. That motivation has not changed. The family publicly asks the Puerto Rican authorities, why was this footage released? Why do you continue to inflict such heinous emotional distress on our family? Haven't we been punished enough by the loss of Chloe? Finally, the family requests an immediate, independent investigation done into the circumstances surrounding the leak." [i]

Geez, with this family EVERYTHING is EVERYONE ELSE'S fault! They are truly horrible people.

Just awful.

How? It’s not been made public.

Actually it was leaked and shown on PR TV.

Gramps needs to take the plea. It’s the best he’s going to get. He knew that window was open, the video proves it. He needs to put his family out of their misery and except that he caused Chloe’s death.

Which there older kid probably does not watch. I would be interested in hearing what the video shows from a layman's perspective. Are the grandfather's claims reasonable?

It does sound like the plea deal is going to be his best bet.

He won't do it.

I saw an article from a few hours ago that said he has stated he will refuse any plea deal because he wants to go to court to clear his name.

The video probably should be released because the family is mischaracterizing what the video supposedly would show and it proves that Grandpa is responsible.

Then throw his azz into jail. It does not appear that the video clears him of wrong doing. Quite the opposite if the descriptions of it are accurate.

So is the grandfather in custody now? Or does he just go into court when needed? If the latter, is he staying in Puerto Rico or just flying in each time?
