I'm going to offer you some advice. It is OK to abandon a mentally ill child IF it means saving yourself or the rest of the family. I'm sure you love your child, but don't mistake love for total commitment. |
The article said 'drug-induced paranoria'. That makes me think addiction rather than mental illness. |
One word: Maryland. |
Actually it isn’t okay. It’s illegal. After that child passed newborn stage and until the age of 18 s/he is your responsibility. |
Nope. Some of the violations were for driving without a license. Thanks for playing, though. |
I think we can assume that these posters are talking about children 18 years and older. You know, like all of the boys being discussed in this thread.
|
Drug induced mental illness. My brother watched himself out on every drug known to man because he was hearing voices. The voices came first. It’s hard to tease it out, but essential. |
He’s 21. And if it’s too much for you you can actually give a child up to the state when they are a minor and that child will be fully cared for by the state. It is actually possible for it to be too much for people. Don’t judge until you try doing it. |
And for no registration. Again I do feel very bad for this family. Seems like they were having a hard life but mom was trying her best to keep it together. |

Did anyone notice that the pastor had ‘no comment’ as to why the McGuigans were at the church?
Will that last do you think? Can he just continue to have no comment? |
+1 thank you |
He can have no comment to the press. They can’t compel him to comment. And he should refrain as the investigation is still continuing. Also, he may have absolutely no idea why they were at the church so why offer pure speculation. The church has already issued condolences. If he knows anything of legal importance, the police will speak with him. |
Not as easy as you think. The state can charge you CS and for medical care. |
The only thing I’m judging here is people reading comprehension. You can’t abandon a child 18 years or older and it’s certainly not illegal. |
