LOL. You nutters have active imaginations.

And what was the source of your fabulous history education? |
Anyone who is living in the present — and with more than two working brain cells — realizes that in 2018 it’s the GOP who welcomes the KKK and the rest of those “very fine people”. “Unite the Right” and all of that. But continue to live in the past. It makes for entertaining commentary. Tell us more about why we should keep the name “Lee”.
|
| Since when does someone claiming to lead a "Unite the Right" movement mean that they actually represent anyone other than themselves? You don't believe anything thing they say, yet you believe their claims that they are of the Right. Such simplistic thinking. Perhaps you are comfortable defending any actions or statements from people claiming to be of the left. |
|
When did I ever defend Lee as a name. I do have to admit it is an appropriate albatross to hang on the neck of the Democrats.
Frankly, the easiest solution would be to just rename the W-L mascot to the "Traitors." |
Ok. Let’s rename the high school then. End of discussion. You can go start a new thread to whine about how you’ve been wronged by Ds.
|
Isn't it strange? When our kids get upset that things aren't fair, we usually tell them that life isn't fair and that they need to focus on the things they can control. APS can change any school name at any time. Like it or not, that's reality. And maybe it's not fair. Changing the name will not change the school. Teach your kids by example y'all. |
|
Didn’t they zone out one of the only historically black areas the last boundary go around?
So change the name to make white liberals feel warm and fuzzy, but kick out the black kids. Oh Arlington... |
What? Just because one person who doesn't give two shits about the name says that we should end the discussion? Typical fascist Democratic behavior! I grew up in the Midwest, so this expression of Southern pride means nothing to me. That some Southern folks express pride in their military accomplishments doesn't bother me in the slightest. The South has to mean something other than slavery and to recognize does not minimize the evils of slavery. The ability of people to only see this in such a black and white terms truely astonishes me. Calling anyone with a different perspective evil and a defender of slavery certainly does seem to shut down discussion. Isn't it any wonder that we cannot have civilized discussions anymore in this country and specifically in Arlington? Who really are the fascists around here always seeming to want to shut down differing opinions? |

Lots of people are calling out D’s in North Arlington, and it is richly deserved. It’s not one poster.
Arlington has some deep problems and this name doesn’t rank. Change it. Don’t change it. Whatever. Let’s not pretend we live our values. This is virtue signaling. That’s all. |
Every day? I just started today with you idiots. It's not just the "horrible D's" in North Arlington. It's the whole f-ing party. You called me an argumentative twit? Well now you hurt my feelings...
And I thought the whole point of DCUM was to argue... |
There she is. Go play with your new friend. You can find ways to stab each other in the back. |
Down another glass, Mona. |
| I like the proposal Washington Kaepernick, but I dont expect that will go anywhere with the APS bigots. |
| Why would the Hispanics in South Arlington support BLM? You Ds are so fricking confusing. |
