My sons’ friends call me Mrs. Lastname.

Close friends’ kids get to call me Miss Firstname.

My kids call most adults Miss/Mr. First Name. Closer friends get called Auntie/Uncle First Name. Mrs./Mr. Last Name is used for people who we do not know well or in some cases elderly or old people.

Emily. I have a different last name than my child and it’s a mouthful and I don’t want to Ms/Mrs last name and I REALLY REALLY do not want to be Ms First name

My name is Emily please call me Emily. Even my nieces and nephews call me just plain Emily (except one nephew who is only 4 and it comes out as Enemy and I love it so much!)

I have a different last name than my son and his father (my husband), but I’m fine being referred to as Mrs. HusbandLastName. Certainly preferable to having a child call me by my first name as if we are peers.

Whatever the friends parents wish to be called. They usually start with Mr./Ms. or Laela’s mom/dad. Almost everyone immediately says “ please call me first-name.” I always ask kids to call me by my first name.
