Please show us where Lauer's been accused of attacking anyone. |
The intern was YEARS later. Do facts matter to any of you in the lynch mob? |
Do you think Couric didn't deal with a bunch of crap, like having to be "sweet" and "perky" all the time, to get to a place of prominence? |
I guess when he was caught on tape saying to Meredith "Bend over, nice view" that was also a joke? IF ML routinely joked like this to his female on air coworkers, then I can see how maybe a low level intern might think that this type of behavior was all a part of working on The Today show. If Katie said the azz pinching stuff never happened and she was only making a joke, then...o.k. Dumb joke. |

We need to stop idolizing these people. Lots of them are scum. |
|
Whoa. Now Ann Curry is saying that she is "not surprised by the allegations".
|
Lauer got her fired. We all knew it back then. She has class. I am glad karma is coming to bite him on his ass. Anne had to feel wonderful when he finally was exposed for the dirt ball he is. |
| Im sure Katie Couric knew. NBC is doing an investigation of who knew. Will be interesting. |
Then Ann, Meredith, and Savannah would have know too. All the people screaming Katie knew and should be accountable should be screaming about all of his co-hosts. |
Ann just pretty much admitted that she knew. Good grief. Ugh. |
"A former NBC employee filed a complaint to the network on Wednesday saying the longtime "Today" show cohost Matt Lauer summoned her to his office in 2001, locked the door, and sexually assaulted her, The New York Times reported. The woman told The Times that after Lauer locked the door by using a button under his desk, he asked her to unbutton her blouse, which she did, then pulled down her pants, bent her over a chair, and assaulted her. She said she eventually passed out, woke up on the floor of Lauer's office, and was taken to a nurse by Lauer's assistant." ...if he somehow left a woman blacked out on his office floor with her pants down after a lovely consensual encounter, it's odd as hell.

How dare this scumbag show his face in public? |
So neither the NBC nurse nor Laurer’s assistant contacted the police? I don’t believe for a minute that NBC didn’t know about these allegations when they happened. Their statement that they were just notified and acted immediately is complete lies. |
|
I think they all knew. See how fast Don Nash, Today Show executive producer, retired after the Ann Curry interview.
Interesting that Katie just got a nice job covering the Olympics for NBC. |
The thought of Katie's face makes me ill. She should have come clean. |
