Sheri told Carly if she likes Christo Rey so much she should just go there and Carly was super mad because, like, she has a Prada bag and Sheri only has one Longchamps and Sheri's dress had black straps which was clearly discussed at the meeting and all the kids from Christo Rey agreed that they would prefer people adhere to the dress code to show respect for what is a really good cause. |
Or maybe a completely drunk kid who threw up at the check in stand and then had to be taken away in an ambulance and was hospitalized for several days. |
probs one of the poor kids let's hope he appreciated everything the host girls did for him |
Funny! Except substitute Sheri with Lily, because they’re not in their 40’s. |
| This is like if Wilson had a special party "fundraiser" for Ballou. It's gross and weird. |
|
This is a great initiative that generated over $80K for a great school that provides free tuition and paid internships to students.
Does Wilson have a similar program and impact? Nope...different structure and ability to deliver results. |
Wow, you don’t get it so hard you did some sort of spectacular not getting it somersault. |
I don't get the joke attempt. Shouldn't Ballou, the school with the cool new $120 million building, be the one fundraising for Wilson? |
| What's a.ballou? |
It wasn’t a joke, Mark, it was an analogy. |
There is no free tuition at Cristo Rey. The families pay part, the employer where the student works an internship one day a week pays part and a small part is scholarship. These kids work really hard. No handouts. |
As an analogy it makes no sense, that's why I assumed it was a joke. |
I think it's apt. |
DC schools donate to other DC schools every year. |
False. Some PTOs (which spend hundreds of thousands each year at their own schools) donate some of their funds (<5%) to other PTOs. That's frankly still pretty fraught but a long, long way from rich tweens having an extravagant party "to benefit" another school like baby socialites. |
