| Can almost hear all the puking in the bathroom now. That sweet first visit to the ER |
Be grateful your kid wasn’t there last year. They had to call an ambulance because kids were falling down and passed out because they were so drunk and this was seventh and eighth graders. Many kids left early and called their parents because they were so uncomfortable with how many kids were showing up wasted. |
Yes |
| For the most part, the Republicans are. |
Are parents dropping kids off wasted? They are all too young to drive themselves. I know that many kids take an uber to afterschool activities, but I would not let a middle schooler uber to a dance. Some of the local Catholic school dances require that a representative from each school in attendance be present. Maybe this should happen at the White Party. The kids are obviously not doing a great job of monitoring themselves. |
| It was a very big deal with the cool kid crowd from DD school last year. She went as an 8th grader. Lots of horrible mean girl drama who was invited to pre parties. It was like cotillion all over again. The arrival of some kids drunk was out of control. You are not missing anything. If you have a kid who does not want to go be happy about this and plan something else fun that night. |

Heavily controlled event with numerous parents and US Park Police.
Raised $100K for a good cause. |
This. I have a fifth grader and so hope she has no interest in this in middle school. So far she has risen above the girl drama in the class and keeps her nose in her books at school. Happy kid, good at sports, not at all interested in gossip or other petty stuff. |
Got it. The cross check of attendees’ names against Catholics school enrollment will be rigorous this year. Let’s see if that helps. |
Lots of pre parties and last year was just horrible. Kids were so drunk and many chaperones just turn a blind eye. |
| Sold out very quickly again this year |

"What is the White Party?"
The GOP, natch. |
You’re kidding, right? Drunk 7th and 8th graders? |
Sadly no. And it was a small number of kids, but appalling nonetheless. |
