how much did she weigh before? She looks pretty petite so I'm guessing 87 isn't a huge weight loss. If I weighed 87 pounds, that would be more worthy. I hope they figure out what happened in any case.

i found something that said she was 5'4" and weighed 100 pounds. which is incredibly thin to begin with... but losing 13 more pounds is a big deal.

Besides starving her, she might have been severely dehydrated.

Because she is smiling?

Her husband described her as supermom but she puts her kids in daycare and doesn't work? In what universe does that make you super mom?

PP here. I'm wondering about this. She is prettier than most blondes; and she seems to be able to pull off the full toothed smile, which most adults can't (and look psycho if they try). And she has blue eyes, but they are not bulging or buggy like a lot of light people have. What makes you say she is "wackadoo"?

I had no idea her husband worked at Best Buy. Sounds like they are having money issues.

Working at Best But diesn't necessarily translate into making minimum wage. IIt' a corporation with all types of jobs, some of which almost certainly pay quite well.

He could be in corporate.

The missing posters ssaid she weighed 100 lbs. So, if that was true (& not just a guess by her loved ones), she lost 13 lbs in just a few weeks.

How old are the kids?Maybe they just want to daycare part time in lieu of preschool?

I just read that she wasn't admitted to the hospital - she was treated and released after several hours. If she were truly starving, dehydrated, "branded", severely beaten, etc. - wouldn't she have been admitted? So strange. This whole story makes no sense. And the investigators haven't been able to get any kind of a clear picture about what happened, because she doesn't seem to remember. Just smells fishy.

I'm not saying it's not fishy. But maybe each wound was fine enough for outpatient / follow up in a couple of days. Home care for the hydration or whatever.

I have a feeling we'll never know what really happened here. Her physical condition when she returned sounds horrifying and traumatic regardless of the cause. It all seems so bizarre, but i think it's important not to make assumptions without facts. I also think we'll never get the facts on this one.

I find it odd that while her sister will hardly answer any sort of questions, past or present, her father in law meanwhile goes on GMA, gives an exclusive to Daily Mail and CBS and other media outlets. Not sure what to make of it except that perhaps there's more than just "communication" issues across families. Very odd case indeed.

Her connection to the Shasta Police is disconcerting, especially when they verify her physical condition as described by her husband. Show me the photos. Also, just because someone looks beaten doesn't mean 2 Hispanic women did it. And why? There is no ransom note, no real reason to abduct her in the first place. What about the woman who saw someone who resembled her in a truck with 2 men?

Please step out of the DCUM area bubble. They live in a semi-rural area in way, way Northern California. As in four hours by car north of San Francisco. I am amazed someone would think corporate job in a town of less than 100,000 - and that city is the county seat. I looked it up and her husband is a "home theater specialist". I can't imagine it "pays well."
