What kind of guy sees prostitutes?

Anonymous
I have a distant relative who was a prostitute. I've also had friends who were in the industry, like strippers and also prostitutes or "sponsored girls" (they are the mistress for just one rich guy). These women are usually fairly open sexually, but also no one was being coerced into it. They all know they can get a "real" job, but they preferred the money in their current line of work. I'm sure some were sexually abused as children and have messed up views of sexuality, but you can say that about a decent percentage of the female population in general (unfortunately).

Let's see, last time I was out at a bar in Las Vegas and an escort came up to me. $2,000 for the night. I didn't take her up on it (not my thing) but I don't think a person like that is being coerced into it either.

That's not to say there isn't trafficking, coercion, etc. I have no doubt it exists, but I haven't seen it in my experience.

For an interesting documentary on the adult film industry, watch "Pretty Girls Wanted" on Netflix. It chronicles the lives of a bunch of 18-20 year old girls as they move to Miami to become porn stars. To me, it didnt' seem like coercion at all -- they were bored and the money was good.

I used them a couple times. Its different for men, its just a need for physical contact satisfied. I know they don't want to be having sex with me anymore than your massage therapist wants to be massaging you. But I pay them well $1,200 for two hours, and treat them well. All protected and safe. Fun but not as fulfilling as having a relationship.

I am one of the really strenuous objector pps. I would have a more open mind about someone who got a prostitute in a place it was legal (like Vegas) as in those places the women have (at least) workers protections and everything being on the up and up means less abuse.

I'd still think it was gross but I wouldn't think he was a vile human being

HIV

Very treatable these days

So you wouldn't use protection to avoid it?

No. Chances are very slim for a man to get it from a woman

Not to derail but totally not true.

You seem to not understand that most women are objecting ti the industry, not the concept of no strings attached sex.

Did you actually watch the film? Turns out, the money was decidedly not good. And all the girls came from fucked up places.

Shame on you, PP! You just shattered his fantasy life by imposing reality on it. No wait ...

Yes, I did watch it. The money was good, but they didn't realize the industry needs new faces, so after you've been working for 6 months, you're no longer a fresh face. They got $500 a shoot, and seemed really happy about the money. Most came from small towns in the US, but generally seemed to come from decent homes. They certainly weren't being trafficked or coerced into it.

How long am I supposed to wait?

This I understand.
Though still a bit sad - why not a relationship?
I have crazy sex with husband at 50 but if something happened to him I would not give to some random guy what I give to him.
You are right about that it would have to be a relationship

it is sad.

But I am just not ready for the drama, the arguments, the family conflicts, the over the top spending of money, the monthly duty sex, and the voice in my head of my DD asking whats wrong with mommy from when she would stumble around at night, looking for her hidden bottle.

So I am ready to pay for it. Not sure how to do it though. Need advice.

the most obvious answer would of course be Craigslist, but use protection because DCUM advice is less reliable than your high school bball team. Also beware of scams because you sound like an easy mark.

Backpage which is similar to Craigslist, however also pay for a subscription to a "review" website like TER, as someone else mentioned. If the escort uses a verification service, that's a good thing. There's too many scams out there. Meet them at a hotel, maybe even use a burner phone.

I think of the lawyer in DC who was murdered a year or two ago (was discussed on DCUM too) at a hotel near his office. He ordered a man, and got a woman and her female accomplice who robbed and murdered him.

Other way is abroad. For example, it's highly regulated in Germany at FKK clubs, so it's a safe environment and you won't get ripped off either. Prices are even standardized (German efficiency!).

Basically this. I don't think it would affect my relationship with a platonic friend/family member, but I would never, ever have a romantic relationship with someone I knew had done so. It would just mean that our world views/personal beliefs were too different to be compatible.

Tip to guys, suck your own because most women don't like it. Or find one that does or who is a good faker.

Or go suck your friends and see how fun it is, then you'll understand - maybe.

See, its that sort of attitude..... why you have to be like that? Why cant you try to take care of your man and make him happy? Selfish and I am sure he would reciprocate if you were a bit more giving.

It's a honest statement, many women down right hate it. Women like the reciprocation in other ways, not sex necessarily.

Reciprocation in other ways, like maybe getting paid in cash?
