Relationship Discussion (non-explicit)
Agreed. It's modern day slavery for many. Not sure how to figure out if a woman is a willing participant or not. |

Horny. Lonely. Controlling?
Horny. |
She probably stopped because she see's you on the same threads over and over with your sex obsession. And believe me she knows you've cheated. |
| Who visits prostitutes? More men married to women on this site than you would think. Men who go to them are losers? Try executives, doctors, lawyers, and Hugh Grant. The women are "forced" into it? Maybe in Thailand but I have no doubt in the US educated, attractive women do it because of the money involved and to some degree, like certain aspects of the work. |
Have fun rationalizing |
Some no doubt. I lived next door to an escort, early 30s, twin Ivy degrees, hated corporate life and loved big money life style. At 600 an hour . . . I don't think she was too coerced. On the other hand, I don't think that women who are being pimped or are doing this work to make ends meet are making any sort of meaningful choice. And that's the part that needs to be addressed. |
| Of course the women here against it. They are threatened by it. It's their most powerful weapon in a marriage. The thought that it could be "outsourced" much like the cleaning and chores they complain their husbands won't do scares the shit out of them. |
I (naively) used to assume the high end escorts/call girls were probably insulated from the coercion faced by women working in the more dangerous sectors of the profession (street walking, etc). Then I read about the Eliot Spitzer scandal, where the escort service knew he was refusing to wear protection over the objections of the women and coercing them into letting him have sex with them without any protection and the escort service was STILL sending women to him. Then Charlie Sheen and the lawsuits he's facing from escorts he exposed to HIV after refusing to wear protection and not disclosing his status. The types of coercion they face may be different but it's still there and it's still dangerous. |
Get some perspective and reality. Losers can be all walks of life, so your examples really suck. The sex industry here has been well studied, so take your lack of morals and bs somewhere else. |
As Dan Savage says, you're not paying for the sex. You're paying for them to go away. ? |
There's no high end. A hooker is a hooker and disease doesn't discriminate. These guys rich or poor are troubled losers. |
Who doesn't? You pay them to leave, and to keep their mouths shut. |
Bingo. Women are threatened by everything that their husbands/BFs find pleasure in that doesn't involve them. |
| I would think a man who visits prostitutes is providing them with a portion of the income they require. Win-win. |
is this charlie sheen we are talking about? |
