It's not illegal in many places.

Also around here, the prostitute will ask for a donation, which is never discussed in writing or over the phone. When you arrive, you place an envelope with cash on the table, and leave it there after you leave. That's not illegal.

Besides, you are allowed to pay a person for their time, for a massage, etc. You just aren't allowed to pay them for the sex part.

The massage parlor case was running more like a brothel, and there was a third party involved also (the parlor). That's how they got busted.

But the WOMEN seem to be talking about how its gross to participate in human trafficking. So I'm not sure what you're reading.

That said, I do feel bad for disabled and/or unattractive men who have issues meeting women. We all have physical needs and sex is just as natural as breathing, exercise, and healthy diet in order to ensure a stable and happy life.
