These are federal workers responding here. Please be kind. Do not interject reality into their little worlds. Heads will explode.

Reality? You are the one living in some bizarre little fantasy world.

It's pretty glaringly obvious at this point that unlike some of us, you and the PP who think the shutdown was no problem were not in DC when it happened and have absolutely no clue who it affected, what problems there were, and have zero clue whatsoever what you are talking about.

I was actually there. I saw what was happening on the National Mall and at the WWII Memorial - and for example on the first weekend of the shutdown, I actually witnessed first hand a Republican congressman at the WWII Memorial getting interrupted and getting a reality check from some Honor Flight folks while he was trying to grandstand and blame Obama, he ended up getting a royal ass chewing over the fact that there were inadequate facilities even with their "Deluxe Motor Coach with Bathrooms" - not to mention, it was hot and hit the 90s on the Mall that day and there was not even anywhere open to get cold refreshments. I saw that Congressman and his staffer turn tail, and run away to his vehicle and leave that day, when people who had come saw through the bullshit and confronted him. I was there. You were not.

You are just talking out of your asses with some fiction that you saw on FOX or read in Daily Caller. Sorry, but your cute little opinions are rendered utterly meaningless by the actual facts and events of the shutdown. Everybody on the Hill knows damn well that the shutdown was an unmitigated disaster, everyone who was in DC knows it was an unmitigated disaster, and we have to laugh at whatever warped fantasy version you are clutching to under whatever rock it is that you are living under...

You underestimate us 'commoners'. I know your federal salary comes with a 'superior' gold star.

Please answer the PP question, if you can. Where are the non-federal bathroom facilities near the memorials that would gladly accommodate a bus load of people? Oh, and the facilities had to be open during the government shutdown, as some of the small businesses in the area also closed their doors due to lack of foot traffic.

All are accessible, given they are not wheeling these folks in from wherever they are coming from. THEY HAVE TRANSPORATION - deluxe motor coaches equipped with (wait for it) BATHROOMS.

The whole fucking world doesn't revolve around the Feds. You people do understand that life goes on without federal facilities, right? Probably not - you need your paycheck.

I have been trying. Do you know a trick to get through usajobs, so that I can get that paycheck for which you imagine?

You work for someone who then deny's you a paycheck? I don't think I'd do that....

Not only did y'all get pay from that shutdown, you got discounts at eateries and other bennies us 'little people' didn't get. Stop acting like you sacrifice.

Logic isn't your strong suit. Feds weren't exactly running around going hog wild buying shit and eating out when they didn't know when or if their next paycheck might come.

Good luck getting a dozen nearly 90 year old men in wheelchairs in and out of a tiny cramped bus bathroom as your only option... That is, unless you want to wheel them a half hour away to some restaurant or business to have them use the bathroom there...

1. I don't work for the Federal Government or a government contractor.

2. I'm happy you know how to use Trip Advisor. When I click the link you provided the first option which is listed is the Cafeteria at the National Academy of Sciences. This of course is in a secure federal building that was closed due to the shutdown. I'm fairly certain the bathroom at Potbelly or Bobby's Burger Palace is not going to cut it.

Please accept the fact that, like most conservatives, your bloviation is based on a fundamental lack of facts.

Know what I do when there's a list and I know one's closed? I go to the second thing on the list

Again, they come by motor coaches that have facilities on them.

I didn't know:

Old people all pee at once
All old people are wheelchair-bound
All old people have bathroom issues

Amazing!

I think your list applies to all WWII vets.
