Accepted @ GDS. Haven't heard from the others. I understand Sheridan was deluged with applications this year. Admissions decisions have to be difficult for them as they need to fashion a group of kids who can grow harmoniously over time. Can't be easy.

Congrats! GDS and Green Acres are way better than the other two anyway. Did you just get GDS letter today? I thought all the mailings were supposed to go out today?! That's great to know. How about Sidwell? Did you apply? Also, do you mind sharing if child went to any feeder and if they scored extremely well on WPPSI? Thanks again.

Not the PP, but DC accepted @ GDS. Learned via phone. Child did not attend feeder. Child scored extremely well on WPPSI. Child enjoyed playdate. Child prefers another school because of playground equipment.

Thanks so much for sharing! That is so awesome that GDS would call. I didn't apply there but I wonder if Sidwell and the other's do that at all? We got wait listed (rejected) at Beauvoir.

She sounds like one of the Beauvoir volunteer at every event moms, so I'm surprised she took a swipe at the place. Clearly would not fit in at Green Acres.

Congratulations to all three of you on GDS. It's probably our family's first choice. Did you all hear by phone? Or some by letter? If by phone, did GDS call you, or did you call them? Are any of your children siblings? No, I am not thinking about calling them, or being stalker-ish. I'm just trying to read from tea leaves whether it's significant that our family has not heard anything yet. Any info appreciated.

Unless you make it clear to Sheridan that you will definitely absolutely go and that you think Randy and that school are the best thing ever, they will not accept you. Personally, I think it's a huge ego thing for Randy and the AD. Don't take it personally. They probably saw that your child would definitely get into either Beauvoir or GDS and knew that they could not compete with them so they rejected you.
