Thank you for clearing this up. That guy must be kicking himself now for not perusing her further. |
No, they didn't talk to the dreadlock guy. They spoke to the "doorway guy" in the Sal's video (and I don't think he's a student, at least he doesn't look like it from the video). The guy I'm talking about is seen in the forefront of the Sal's video after the two Hispanic-looking women pass. You see his shadow in the lower left as they pass and then he walks in front of the camera. He has on white 3/4 shorts. He then disappears for a few seconds and reappears on the other side of the patio, heading the opposite direction behind the group of guys. In the second video (jewelry store), he is seen right next to Hannah appearing to talk to her. And doorway guy is following a few yards behind them. I feel like the police are not seeing the connection. They should be broadcasting the black guy's image all over the news. |
Whoa, slow down, most of this is untrue. The person who was questioned was the white guy, not the guy with dreadlocks. Also, nothing has been stated about whether he is a student or not. |
Also the dreadlock guy does not match the description given by police, so I presume there is another person whose image we have not seen. I'm hoping police will release a sketch. |
But what I don't understand is why they wouldn't want to track down dreadlock guy -- he is clearly seen in both videos, seemingly talking to her in the jewelry store one. And I think it's suspicious how he switched directions in the first video. |
Yes, black guy = automatic suspect. |
The guy in the video is standing there lurking and then jumps out and follows her. She does not look in distress, she looks like she is walking quickly. He probably made up the story about the second man and he was following her to help her. That is creepy. She probably started running because her first instinct was that she was being followed by that man. But she stopped because she told herself she was being paranoid. Listen to that first instinct! I am sure the police are following the lurker on the video. |
Please read articles before you make stupid comments. The video of her running was earlier than the downtown mall videos. And the "lurker" already came forward and has been questioned. |
They may well have already questioned him. |

Y'all should go offer to volunteer for the police since clearly you know what is going on better than they do. So they're pursuing the wrong guy then! Tsk tsk. |
Well, the police did say in one of the articles that it is just Hannah's reflection in the jewelry store video, not another person. Unless her reflection makes her look like a pot-bellied black dude with dreads, I have no reason to think they are competent. |
Where does anyone see the dreads guy talking to her? |
If you really think the police are screwing up please call the tip line and make your case. Seriously. I don't know, I have only watched the videos on my phone and can't really see anything. |
I watched them on my PC. You definitely see a lot there. It would be v. difficult to see on a phone. There are other blogs specializing in unsolved crimes that have similar observations as what is being discussed here. Scroll back a few pages in this thread and you will see that people have posted links to the surveilance videos and the time stamps where things are happening. |
