| White. I use a washcloth or glove exfoliators every time I shower. I don't feel like I need them to get clean, but I do need them to help with exfoliation. I feel better with less dead skin on me. I wash the cloths after every use. |

Asian. Grew up (here) using washcloths. Dh is white, grew up using washcloths. They were re-used, washed when the towels were, and not shared. With a bar of soap.
I switched to mesh scrubby things and body wash and DH followed suit. He replaces it periodically because I never, ever think to pick up a new one. but now I really want one of those "Asian scrubby washcloths" PP mentioned. They look awesome. I do still use a washcloth on my face. |
| We each had a loofah, growing up in India. Here I use the scrubby anti microbial cloth shown in the previous post |

It really baffles my mind that people don't use a washcloth. I cannot imagine how people clean their cracks and crevices. Are you sticking a bar of soap up your a**? Otherwise, how in the heck are you making sure you get it clean up and thru there???
There are a lot more funky folk than I thought!! |
| I'm white and use one for my face every morning and night and a separate one for my body in the shower. DH is also white and has never used a washcloth. I've noticed that most of our house guests (all white) don't use a washcloth if I lay one out for them, and every guy I've ever dated (all white) don't use washcloths. I never thought of it as a race thing, but did often think it was a male/female distinction. |
| I just don't get why people think you cannot get clean without a washcloth?? If you prefer the washcloth it is all good in my opinion but to think people are funky, dirty etc. because they don't use one is just boggeling. |
Most of us don't have muddy dog fur on our bodies. So no, it doesn't tell us anything. |
Speak for yourself. I am a Canine American and proud of it. People on DCUM are such homo sapienists! |
Personally, I get my hands really soapy and I clean my body with my hands. No need to shove a bar of soap up my ass. After I take a dump, I wash my hands with soap and water and they're clean without using a washcloth- how is that any different? If soap and water is enough to clean my hands, why isn't it enough to clean my armpits? How are you certain your ass is squeaky clean even after using a washcloth? How dirty is your ass to necessitate daily powerwashing? Do you eat a lot of Olestra or have a chronic case of mudbutt? And if you use a washcloth, I hope you use a clean one everytime. Wet, dirty washcloths are a breeding ground for bacteria- no way I'd rub a used washcloth on my body... |
Thanks for the laugh!

Of course I use a washcloth, wash rag, facecloth etc. to wash my body. I use a different one for my face.

This is what we do as well. |
