(White) European. I never saw anyone use a wash cloth when growing up in Europe. I use liquid soap and a pouf.

I'm black. Every black person I know uses a washcloth. I use a washcloth and poof. I had no idea that white people didn't use a washcloth until I was a grown up.

White - bar of soap only - no washcloth

It's only black people that use a washcloth and some white people from the midwest it seems

White woman: nope

White male spouse: daily, grew up in the midwest

I have dry skin, no way I’m using a wash cloth. Husband has oily skin and would lose his mind if someone took his was wash clothes away

White, not American. Never ever saw one used in showering until I came to the US for college. I was baffled by my dormmates' use of washcloths, and they were baffled by my ironing of bedsheets.

I am Asian and use a wash cloth to dry my face after double cleansing. I have a pile of them and use a new one every time. They are small and don’t take up a lot of space in the laundry.

I don’t use a wash cloth or anything else on my body but body wash.

Yes, though not every single shower. But at least a few times a week. White, from New England. My West Coast family uses them, too. I used a plastic poof in college until it occurred to me that it was grosser to rub plastic all over my body than cotton that could more easily get washed in the washing machine.

white---grew up in South Carolina. Used washcloths growing up---one for face, one for body. Think there is also a regional component to the washcloth thing.

You will find that most black people use washcloths - like 99% and about 50% of white people (mostly the ones who grew up poor or lower middle class) also use washcloths.
