+1. If I exfoliated every time I showered my skin would bleed. |
| I am white, British and from London. I had a black British boyfriend for a few years and he literally taught me how to wash thoroughly. He didn't just use a washcloth he had a scrub he used on his entire body, every single day. |
| Indian American — no wash cloth! |
|
AA. Did use growing up. Stopped when I went into the military. I find it frustrating to find the right washcloth that can last through the washing/laundry. There are other things I can use to exfoliate.
Sometimes people don't know when to take old washcloths out of circulation, so if I'm at someone's home and they hand me a set of towels with a washcloth I just take it but don't bother using it so I don't have to think about how it might smell when wet or near my face. I am periodically surprised when while friends pull out the wash cloth though. I buy really nice ones for my family for when they stay at my home. |
| Caucasian. We use washcloths. |
| White. I use a sponge or my hands. |
| White- no washcloth at home except for my face. If visiting a friend/relative i do use a washcloth as I don't want their soap directly on my body. |
| White, and no. But I do use a washcloth when I bathe my dog. |
| South Asian and no wash cloth. But we have a handheld bidet! |
| No!!!! Why would you reuse something that captures all your grime and nasty fecalnparticles? |
| Unless you use a fresh one every time, it’s gross. |
Just use your hands to capture those fecal particles |
| So this washcloth how do you use it? I am latina but a college grad my mom was a housekeeper and warned me not to use washcloths at hotels because people were wiped their privates with them. And no I don't use washcloths to wipe. |
| Seriously gross. |
So far some races say they don't use it but a majority of the ones who do are white and black |
