To the cranky old lady at the gym

Please please tell us what gym you go to.

Ask Jeff, sweetheart.

Is there a reason you couldn't put him in shower with you? If scream too as a one year old getting weird shower mist from open curtain but being made to sit still on bench. You were wrong to your kid and that old lady.

Wait, you don't have a partner and you don't work. You can't afford a jogging stroller or a nicer gym. You say the shower in your room wakes your son, is it a one bedroom home/apartment? No one to help you watch your son for an hour or two? Don't you have neighbors? Friends? Relatives?

Anonymous wrote:Op, I am really sorry that you are being ripped to shreds by these nasty bitches. I guess they've never made a mistake or poor judgment in their lives nor have they ever been treated like dirt by someone who just as easily could have extended a little bit of kindness to a struggling mom. Screw them.

Hope things are a little better tonight. Best to you and your son.

Sorry, but the OP didn't come on here and say she made a mistake. She wanted to bitch about the old lady. Seems like she's getting exactly the same benefit of the doubt that she extends to others.

I came here because I'm not the kind of person who will confront people who are talking to my child trying to shame me in public.

Hahahahahahahaha!!!

Earth to OP: she was not trying to shame you.

Feel better now?

Just how poor are you, OP? And how old?

Hi OP.

We may sympathize with you on the surface, but trust me - we're laughing at you and telling (and re-telling) stories about you to each other, as soon as you walk away. Don't worry though, we'll remember your complaint. Oh yes - we will remember.

Sincerely,
- Management.

I'm the OP. my son has no issues staying at the daycare. He did well didn't cry once. They call you at the pool if they do. He cried at the shower because he wanted to be held. I told him I'd hold him when I was done.

My son won't be traumatized for crying 5 minutes while playing with my phone right in front of me.

A lurker here. OP, the problem is that while you may gotten the much-needed break, you were rude in how you handled it. If you really have a problem with no outside support for your child and need the gym break, then only attend class for 45 or 50 minutes, take your 5 minutes shower, get dressed and pick up your child before the hour is up at the daycare. Otherwise, you should find some other way to exercise. But to leave your child sitting there crying for you to pick him up while you take a shower, letting him cry and disturb those around you is both rude and selfish. You placed your desire for that extra 5 minutes of class above your fellow patrons right to a more peaceful experience. Please reconsider your attitude and position on this before you return to the gym. A locker room is not the appropriate place to leave a one-year old crying even if you are just 5 feet away.

Well, I didn't want to go there but since you started, the manager said "please don't let her kill your enthusiasm. This area is full of lesbians feminists and older women who never had kids or had them long ago and don't remember how hard it is."

I thought for a second he was one of the DHs here... How does he know that???

Who said I don't have a partner?

Lots of assumptions here. And no, I don't have neighbors I'd trust to watch my child, my friends work and my family lives a few hours away. It's not that hard to find people like me in DC area.

Uh-huh. OP, don't you have to finish your homework? It's a school night.

Yup. You're an incredibly stupid person, and stupid troll. Go back to 4Chan or Reddit, you bored, cranky kid you.
