+1

This cannot possibly be a real person. I think someone's just trolling though.

She didn't try to calm him. She was being condescending. She puffed and made noises before saying something.

He had my phone in a ziplock bag and played with it while crying.

No I'm not crazy. I'd be crazy if I left him alone at home like the stupid PP suggested. Who in their right mind leaves a toddler alone at home to work out??????

I'm not sure it's possible to be condescending to a 1-year-old.

LOL.

If the OP is real, I am curious what the "complaint" to management was about? How exactly did you phrase that without them thinking you are totally nuts?

If this is your hard time readjusting, why didn't you wait a little longer before dragging him to the gym? YOU give parents a bad name, OP.

If your kid is that upset, skip the shower and go home instead of having him there screaming. Not rocket science.

OP, I think this woman was trying to help you out, not shame you. That's putting it as nicely as I can.

Yeah. You have pretty bad judgment, in addition to being batshit crazy.

There are constant complaints about Shower Shaming at my gym. We have our own mediation committee.

This must be fake. Are kids even allowed in the locker room? If I were that "old lady" I'd have reported your ass to management. You should not be allowed to have a one year old in a locker room while you shower. Of course he wa crying if he was getting sprayed with water! Take your damn shower at home. I you can't figure out a way to go to the gym without your kid coming into the locker room, don't go to the gym. Take a run with a jogging stroller. Hire a babysitter. Make do, like te rest of us. (I'm a mom of a 1, 3 and 5 year old).

You know, I actually think you are that stupid.

Hey OP. Sounds like you are having a really bad day. Once you calm down, consider that bringing your toddler into the locker room while you shower is against all normal gym etiquette. You need to find a different solution so you can work out and shower. Sorry. I hope things get better for you.

1. DS was screaming his head off while you showered.
2. An "old lady" put her head out and tried to calm him down.
3. You complained to the manager.

4. And then came to DCUM to complain.

My only issue would be seeing you naked in the shower, as you had it open. Yuck! The kid screaming isn't annoying but your bad parenting is. You can give the excuse of it being your first time out, surgery and other BS but that shit doesn't matter. I don't think a shower takes priority over your crying child.

Thanks, PP. yes it's been tough.. He's one and I've been showering with him screaming for 12 months. It's been a long road for us. It was awesome to be able to be by myself for the very first time in 12 months, though.

I've seen kids there before and I asked if it was ok. The manager said most moms leave the class before its over because they can only leave the kids there for one hour so I did like every other woman there does so my child wouldn't be left there past the allowed time.

Unfortunately bathing at home won't work since it's a swimming class and I have to change anyway.Id rather have him cry the extra 5 minutes I shower instead of dragging him home and delaying his nap and lunch so I can have the luxury of a shower
