White bread. It's all 7 grain whole wheat BS now, if I eat bread at all. We started the kids off with that, so they are fine with it. But man, I miss white bread toast slathered with butter.

Lemme guess, you "only eat fruits and veggies and look and feel SO much better." You don't understand why everyone doesn't eat this way. Your only source of protein is lentils but you just adore them.

I'm not an ass about it.

Fried bologna, with the little slits cut on the sides so it doesn't curl up.

Hostess Snow Balls

Salisbury steak

There used to be this greasy little deli near 5th and NY Ave that sold bologna burgers. They would cut the bologna about 1/2" thick, give you two slices with lettuce, mayo and tomato on a sesame seed bun. You could ask for it burned and both sides of the bologna would be black.

^^ that's known as french-canadian bbq

Red River Cereal
Hamburger Helper
Canned ham
Corn Flakes
Wheaties

My parents and sister once found this in Canada long after they stopped selling it (I think?) in the U.S. and ran several boxes across the border so they could have a year of happy breakfasts.

Growing up, we ate all sorts of stuff I no longer want to see: Spam, Velveeta (yes, I know it's trendy, but I still think it's gluey), fruit cocktail, Catalina salad dressing . . .

My mother was trained as a dietitician in the early days of wonderfoods. Ack!

I like them home made

Agreed! The pre-made packaged ones are SALTY and taste horrendous. I will only eat the home-made ones.

Nope, but we all make different choices. I'm the poster who gave up Nutella because of palm oil. If I had kids, I'd probably eat it because of all the anti-peanut precautions. But I like PB equally, so natural PB it is. We don't eat much packaged foods at our house - again I acknowledge that's a luxury of being childless and having time to cook - I do eat the following things that others on DCUM would never feed their precious snowflakes: Annie's Mac and cheese, canned tuna, canned baked beans, Nilla wafers, full fat veggie cream cheese, copious amounts of diet coke, cinnamon graham crackers, pizza flavor gold fish crackers, and way too many fiber one chewy granola bars.

That is what most people eat , fed their kids, and never brag about What I hear from every mom, every night, is we are having salmon steaks!!!! I am sure they are, not.
