OMG, I grew up poor and we used wheat, but this was always such a treat.
Haven't had it since I was a kid. Damn, think I'll have a slice for old time sake tonight.

I eat tuna from a can, packed in water.

We eat canned beans, canned fruit (mostly the water-packed peaches in smoothies and pineapple for pineapple upside down cake or an addition to stir fry or pizza). The only canned vegetables we eat are tomatoes, beets, artichokes, and olives.

I also occasionally make velveeta shells and cheese because DH likes it. It's not terrible but I prefer sharper cheese.

We eat marshmallow fluff in baking recipes, and sometimes buy hostess baked goods, and will stop at McDonalds on a road trip or if our kid has been good and wants a happy meal. I'll get something there too some of the time. Holla, McChicken!

I don't eat pork or red meat so I don't eat bologna but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate. I do eat those little turkey cocktail weiners in the crockpot classic mixed with grape jelly and chili sauce.

We eat white rice and regular pasta because we like it infinitely better than the chewy, nutty brown varieties. We hate dark chocolate, because COME ON you're not fooling anyone.

We try to eat healthy most of the time. We drink organic milk, eat tofu and lentils and soy chicken nuggets and whole grain breads. We eat tons of fruits and veggies, and have colorful, home made meals on the regular. We make apple sauce and breads and pickles and soups and marinara and lots of other things from scratch, often with foods we've grown ourselves.

We are healthy, normal weights with good cholesterol profiles, and we eat dessert most nights. We know that little fluffernutter or kraft single never hurt anyone. Neither did two kraft singles.

Many of you sound uptight as heck!

Love this! Introduced my kids to it too!

Chick-fil-A because my kids are consciences objectors.

Because of the anti-gay and breastfeeding stances?

I don't think they heard about the breastfeeding incident but they know all too well about the anti-gay stuff. While the kids are fairly young they have several friends with same sex parents.

Ask your kids if it's correct to drive a place out of business for exercising their right to their own religious beliefs, aka the bakery in Oregon. Gay rights should not trump ALL rights.

Try again. You don't have the story straight. http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/09/05/wash-times-falsely-claims-bakery-was-forced-to/195736

And "gay rights" aren't trumping anyone else's rights. You bet your bum I'd boycott any store that refused service to an openly gay person, or a minority, or someone not of their religion. You can't refuse service based on protected rights. Plus, they closed their business and the case hadn't been settled yet.

Agree!!! We still eat almost everything mentioned. No one in my family is fat. I have a child in college on an athletic scholarship. The others are all very active and healthy. DH and I are 47 years old and still running marathons. We never get sick. And we love our processed foods!!!

No wonder y'all are so grumpy! You need a Twinkie!

Brach's jelly nougat candies
Creamed chipped beef (I still have this once every few years)
Scrapple (I read the package when I was a teenager and never ate it again)
Bologna sandwiches on white with mayo
I love ambrosia and forgot about it, may have to make an exception to my no cool whip rule
Pinwheels marshmallow cookies

Most of what we ate was good quality homemade stuff I still eat though like meat loaf, sloppy joes, homemade chicken noodle soup, marinara sauce from scratch, homemade cakes, pies, etc.

They're not stuck in a decade, it's a socioeconomic level (meaning it's not just money) they're stuck in. Ever see "The Breakfast Club"?

I'm not Fluff or Ricemallow makes the best fudge. No crystallization problems.

Me too. I like quinoa salad as much as the next person, but you've got to live a little!
