Wow, there are some mean women on this thread! They don't sound like anyone I've met in DC - racist and anti-immigrant. And bullies on top of it. My guess is they don't even live in the DC area or if they do, they live on a military base. Like those stereotypes, trolls?

OP, I can understand how intimidating it must feel! The pre-school thing sounds like a great idea. Try to hook up with a mom's group, too. PACE has groups for second-time moms, but I don't know if that would work with your schedule. Hang in there!
