How much do you weigh?

Another 5'6" here with a large frame and pretty fit. I would look crazy skinny at 145. I was wearing a size 6 at 155.

I'm in the same boat, but i'm 5'0... almost 30. I'm targeting 105, and all my coworkers are telling me I already look too skinny and shouldn't lose anymore weight. Do you get the same reaction?

13:14, yes, I do get a lot of "you are so tiny" comments, but they haven't seen my back fat in a 3 way-mirror

I think everyone has different standards for themselves, and I don't see any reason why I shouldn't weight what I did at 27 before I had kids!

PP, really? Hasn't your metabolism slowed down a lot since you were 27?

13:14 here. I feel the same. I can see gaining a couple more pounds through the years, but I can't imagine adding another 20 pounds to my frame. I hope that never happens, and I feel like it's something I can control. I guess I'll find out in 10 / 20 years.

2 kids under 4.

Skinny but not toned. I come from skinny stock. In the Bonfire of the Vanities, Tom Wolf writes that women as they age either get to keep their face or their ass. For me, it looks like the ass is 'keeping' because I have the skinny chick-lots-of-wrinkles thing going on.

LOL! I'm 36 and fatty, fat, fat! 5'6" and 169. One 9 month old. Neither nursing nor weaning at 6 months helped me lose any baby weight. But I still frequently get carded for alcohol!!

As a trainer, I find it so upsetting that all of you are obsessed with your weight. It is your % body fat that matters. I also find it troubling that everyone puts up their weight but also follows it up with some sort of comment like-some day I will…or I can’t….

Get yourself moving doing something and do not pay attention you’re your weight but your % body fat.

I'm amused when people claim they're a size 6 or a size 8 - heard of vanity sizing?

What happens is that in your forties, there are things in life more important than controlling your weight. Raising your kids, saving money for the future, worrying about elderly parents. I was 5'6" and about 126 pounds in my 20s. I've gained 30 pounds and 20 years since then. My weight isn't in my top 5 life concerns.

My body fat is 33.5% and my BMI is 25.7.

yes, we know, we know. today's size 6 is a really a dressmaker's size 12. Blah, blah, blah.
Regardless, today's size 6 can be still be very skinny when worn by a tall woman with a larger bone structure Delicate and 4'10? Not so much.

I was referring to this one - wearing a size 6 at 155 does not make you thin:

As a non-trainer, I have no friggin' clue how much my body fat % is. I figure if my weight is close to "ideal" for my height, I'm in the ballpark. Works for me. And yes, I do exercise.

Gotta agree. I don't care how large your frame is, you aren't looking "crazy skinny" at 5'6 and 145lb. Maybe it's thin for you, which is great, but "crazy skinny" ain't happening there. The Williams sisters are pretty damn fit too, but neither of them would be called "crazy skinny".
