How much do you weigh?

Anonymous
5' 7.5" and I weigh 132. I'm afraid I am losing bone density and muscle, however, because I weighed the same in college yet wore smaller clothes. Now I'm an 8 or a 6. I'm 35 and I have two children -- the youngest is 8 months. I think I look my best at 118, and I love looking back at pictures of me from when I was that weight, around the time of my wedding. Unfortunately, I have to follow some pretty anorexic eating habits to achieve that, so it is not to be. I am an attorney and have no time for exercise at this point in my life (well, I choose to make time for my children instead of exercise). But I do walk almost everywhere.

You must still be a string bean.

For me (5'7", weigh between 140 and 150), if we're not talking 10 pounds or more, it's not going to make a difference in how I feel or how my clothes fit. Also, I almost NEVER weigh myself. My clothes started getting looser over the course of several months, so I finally hauled out a scale and weighed myself. I was down 15 pounds from what I thought my weight was. Of course, I don't diet or exercise either. Maybe monitoring your exact weight down to the single pound is a motivator for that sort of thing?

Personally I weigh myself every day and then average it out - and I almost always average at a certain weight. And I'm 5'3", so a difference of only 3-4 pounds means a different pant size (so depressing on the way up, so motivating on the way down).

I'm 5'4", 148lbs and 6 months PP. I wear a size 12. I feel disgusting. Previously (pre-baby) I was 143lbs and a size 6. I can't believe how much these 5 extra lbs have made such a difference in the way my clothes fit.

I'm 5'2 and 118. Ideal is 130 as I'm currently a size 2. Weight doesn't go to my stomach until 140 or so.

I'm African-American though, so different standards than most here.

5'4" 188.5 lbs. 21 weeks pregnant w/ DC #2. Prior to DC #1 I was 169, went to 191 in the pregnancy and was back to 167 by 11 months. Stopped nursing and bloated up to 185 just before getting pregnant again. After this baby is born I have some serious, serious work to do on my body. God help me.

Same here. I'm 5'4 and 129. I look best between 128 and 133 and can fit into a size 4 or 6. When I drop below 125 my collarbones start protruding, my face looks hollow and people think I'm anorexic. I can't imagine weighing 110 pounds!

Was 128-129 forever, started working again, stopped exercising so much, metabolism slowing down, exercising again like crazy, trying to eat right, can only lose a couple of lbs. at a time. Am I supposed to eat only rabbit food??? Growing old is not for sissies. F%#K.

Im right there with ya! I turned 40 and quit smoking....gained 14 pounds in less than two years...what the hell do I need to eat???? I HATE exercising at home in my basement, but have no time to get to the gym except at 845 after kids in bed - not remotely realistic....crap
