Turned out there were only about 6 trans women in collegiate sports in the whole country, and the handful of trans athletes were not even remotely "dominating" their respective sports, but 6 was too many and Republicans passed something like 47 different pieces of emergency legislation at federal and state levelshot. Mean, fine, they shouldnt compete. Big whoopie. But 6 kids gunned down in their schools, 6 mass shootings in the span of mere weeks and we can't get shit. Don't pretend you care about kids, MAGA. It's also fact that the majority of gender affirming care is making sure chubby teen boys don't develop boobies during puberty. If we can't talk about anomalies privately there can't be even basic care.

A fetus doesn’t have “separate” DNA. Its DNA is just a combination of the DNA contained on the mother’s egg and the DNA on the father’s sperm. It isn’t new. It’s just their DNA fused together.

These are things humans have been dealing with for millennia. Through education humans increasingly have tools to better deal with them. I am sorry MAGAs and the GOP refuse to embrace science, but on planet earth, science is a thing, and managing how humans deal with their own physical and emotional touch points is a thing.

So it isn't a matter of promoting it, it is a matter of not being an ostrich about it and using science to help people manage their situations.

I can’t accept the easy way out: that it’s “a clump of cells” that can be easily dismissed.

I’ve studied my history. I know we, as humans, are very good at deciding who should/should not be respected as fellow humans with dignity. And see this as just another step in that evolution, another group we have decided is “less than,” with all the poor justifications to go with it.
