There's always a lie to the truth when it comes to zionist Israelis. The IDF replaced the original smashed one with a small statue that doesn't even look like it belongs outdoors and was probably looted from a Christian home.
Meanwhile the Italians actually took the time to replace the original with one that looks similar in size and appearance. Look at how much reverence the UNIFIL soldiers show during the adoration of Jesus as they deliver and unpack the statue. And the residents replaced the IDF one with the Italian statue because they weren't interested in the one given by the zionist IDF. Funny how the Israeli propaganda always backfires. My view as a persuaded Christian:
1. This is incredibly hard to read/see and it disgusts me. 2. If the smashing of a replica of Jesus makes your blood boil, imagine how serious the physical torture and murder of the real Jesus—God incarnate—is. 3. This is a sin, but it’s not as though only the IDF had sinned. As one might put it, “There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God[.]” (Romans 3:22-23) 4. The wages of sin are death (Romans 6:23), and Jesus took our place on the Cross because He loves us. 5. If the smashing of the statute upsets you—and it should—use it not as an opportunity to heap scorn on the wrongdoers, but, rather, allow it to remind you that we have a Good Shepherd Who lays down His life for the flock. 6. The real Christ is risen, and it’s good news, fam. Rejoice. |

Because ppl are f***ing morons who don't understand history or religion. Christmas/Easter etc was/is celebrated in Southern Lebanon, Palestine and every other Muslim country in the Levant, but because Israel knows the west is full of low IQ, uneducated, bigoted morons who know nothing about the Levant's Muslim and Christian communities, they form their propaganda around that ignorance. They think "Khizbullah" and "Khamas" iZLaMiCs are just going around killing Christians. That's not how it works in the ME. Frankly, if a Muslim had ever desecrated Christ statues, Hezbollah and Hamas would've had a far stronger reaction than the cosplaying Christians in the west, because Christ is a prophet in Islam and Mary is considered the greatest woman to ever live. The third oldest church in the world stood in Gaza under Muslim rule for 1300 years. It took Israel 75 to bomb it. Yeah, Muslims hate Christ so much that the oldest churches in the world still stand in the ME, incl. The Holy Church of the Sepulchre where the keepers of the keys to the church have been held by the same, two Muslim families for over 800 years...to keep the peace among Christian factions. Which doesn't even make sense in regards to countries in the Levant. Muslims and Christians are brethren. Does it not occur to them why the oldest churches are STILL standing in the ME and that Christians are in every govt in the Levant? Muslims and Christians marry each other in the Levant. Israel never accounted for social media in only a couple of years, being able to destroy the BS spread by the NYT or every other media outlet for decades in service to Israel.
