Because ppl are f***ing morons who don't understand history or religion. Christmas/Easter etc was/is celebrated in Southern Lebanon, Palestine and every other Muslim country in the Levant, but because Israel knows the west is full of low IQ, uneducated, bigoted morons who know nothing about the Levant's Muslim and Christian communities, they form their propaganda around that ignorance. They think "Khizbullah" and "Khamas" iZLaMiCs are just going around killing Christians. That's not how it works in the ME. Frankly, if a Muslim had ever desecrated Christ statues, Hezbollah and Hamas would've had a far stronger reaction than the cosplaying Christians in the west, because Christ is a prophet in Islam and Mary is considered the greatest woman to ever live.

The third oldest church in the world stood in Gaza under Muslim rule for 1300 years. It took Israel 75 to bomb it.
