Government leaders, state media, and clerics loyal to the regime have repeatedly used antisemitic tropes to promote inflammatory and intolerant rhetoric about Jews, including the idea that Jews are sub-human, deviant infidels. In January, officials convened Iran’s third annual Holocaust cartoon, caricature, and poster competition, which promotes Holocaust distortion and denial. That month, Iranian Member of Parliament Alireza Abbasi made comments in an interview that invoked Holocaust denial, distortion, and inversion. During Ramadan in 2025, the state-run Iranian Broadcasting Authority aired a TV show depicting an antisemitic caricature of a Jewish man—including a long crooked nose and distorted face—performing sorcery. Because willfully destroying a statue of Jesus Christ has a lot of symbolic importance. And that kind of hatred for "others" seems to be the norm in Israel today. Obviously, there are consequences. Israel continues to isolate themselves from the rest of humanity. I don't understand for a minute why this kind of extremism is a win for Israel. Israelis are no different than the Taliban destroying the Buddhas of Bamiyan in Afghanistan. They are religious extremists today. But unlike Afghans, Israelis willfully chose Netanyahu and the extremist parties. |

In case you forgot, Jesus was and is the biggest, baddest, and greatest LIBERAL to ever walk the earth. So, um liberals have always believed in Jesus.
