Why so few medals in the Olympics?

So many people, so little talent.

They are busy buying real estate and industries in America so that they can own America. Olympics is just a smoke screen to distract the world. And they can always buy the best athletes.

America talent comes from immigrants.

Did the Russians participate? No?

It does lessen the US Men's hockey gold somewhat that they didn't have to beat Russia...

The Russians have barely been a threat since the iron curtain fell.

Other than winning Gold in 2018 and the Silver in 2022?

Yep. Sorry they aren’t a massive threat.

Good thing she left, right?

Makes perfect sense why she’d immigrate to a country where she’s considered beautiful, where the Olympic team is willing to invest in her training and the business opportunities to expand her brand are endless.

The US has nothing to offer by comparison — oh yeah, except racism 😂

Terrible. They are imprisoning that newspaper editor Jimmy Lai for life from that sham trial.

They are erasing Uygher culture and involuntarily sterilizing the Uygher women and causing genocide of the Uygher peoples.

Until the Chinese party turns on you.

I think my my bigger beef is China. Why represent a country known for its human rights abuses? Hopefully she's at least a spy for the CIA pretending to be an ally.

Obviously there is another one skiing for the UK, but I don't find that as ethically dubious.

Why? Uh… 14 mil??

And also because, quite obviously, it was the only other option available to her. It isn't like she could have just picked another country with an unblemished human rights record (if such a thing exists).

No dog in this fight but I don't think that's true. She could've easily represented US. It was a business decision encouraged by her mom and, obviously, she agreed with. China is a big market.

The PP said that she would be fine with a US citizen representing the UK (because the largest colonial power has a pristine record when it comes to human rights violations - people have no knowledge of history, we're doomed - but I digress). My point was that you can't just pick a country off the shelf and represent it in the Olympics, it has to be on you have a claim to citizenship to. For Eileen, it was the US or China, and China provided a huge upside. No problem here.

And in the US, the federal police shoot peaceful protesters in the streets. If ICE had tanks (and we can't rule that out), we'd have had Tiananmen Square happen in Minneapolis.

Jeebus, read a book, PP. If ever there were a nation known for a history of human rights abuses, it would be the UK.

Gosh! Please fly to China to see what people who actually live their life look like.
You don’t understand when the administration wants to cover up something they just set up a target for you to attack so you can forget what the admin has done.
Wake up American people! What Gu or China or other countries has nothing to do with you at all. Your failure is made from your own admin, and your money is stolen by your admin who increase tariff and your benefit are cut by this admin! I beg you don’t be a loser only knowing venting to who has nothing to do with you!
And you know what? The reason why the boomers can live an inflation controllable life is because those China countries, who keep providing cheap labor and commodities to the west!
Wake up!

The USA has a pretty bad history of human rights abuses too. I mean, genocide, slavery, the treatment of immigrants by paramilitary good squads.

+100

I wouldn't want to represent the current US administration if I had an alternative. Vance is a hypocrite if he has anything to say about it.
