The fact remains: illegal aliens currently receive free medical care in the United States, where they cannot be refused treatment at any emergency room at any time.

Illegal aliens receive emergency Medicaid under a law passed in 1986. "Hospitals can get federal Medicaid funding to reimburse them for emergency services they are required to provide to low-income individuals, regardless of immigration status, which includes undocumented people," Mr Cuello told us.

"Emergency Medicaid is very temporary coverage for the medical services provided at all emergency rooms, often just one service on one day, but not necessarily ongoing health insurance enrollment, like a U.S. citizen can pay for, or receives by qualifying for Medicaid," he added.

Illegal immigrants may also be eligible for state-funded healthcare of one form or another in most states. As of April 2025, there were 14 states plus Washington D.C., which provided state-funded healthcare coverage to children regardless of their immigration status, according to KFF analysis. All but two of these states - Vermont and Utah - are run by Democrats.

Plus, New Jersey and Vermont also provide state-funded, full medical coverage to low-income pregnant women, regardless of immigration status.

Seven states, including California and New York, have also expanded state-funded healthcare coverage to most low-income adults, regardless of immigration status.

I am a natural born American. I do not carry "papers." If I am sent to an emergency room, I don't want the doctors waiting for me to 'come to' to find out if they should treat me or not. And if that means there are some undocumented people who get treatment on medicare dime as well, so be it. That ultimate RINO, Ronald Reagan is the one who created this rule, and for good reason. But I guess today's GOP is too craven to understand the oath doctors take to treat the ill and injured.

And you know what? These programs, net net, save money for the jurisdictions than enacted them and pay for them with local dollars. That is the whole point of federalism, there is a degree of innovation that each state can manage so others can learn and improve their own programs.

Only society's most pitifully stupid people are watching Fox News or MSNBC in 2025 when they could be getting pretty close to straight-forward news without a spin from Cuomo and News Nation

LOL, Cuomo and News Nation is worse than Fox.

Really? Have you watched Fox or MSNBC lately? They haven't changed one iota. Still nothing but news with a spin to brainwash the sheep.

Russ the Reaper is fast on his way to becoming Russ the Defendant

Speaking of Russ the Reaper...this trolling video is from the sm account of our esteemed "president."

Such a moron.
But since this is where we are, I’d like my federal tax payments refunded. If we’re not going to have a federal government, I don’t want to pay for services and benefits I’m no longer receiving.

Believe what? The truth?

Schumer finally stood up to Trump. You cannot disagree with that.

That's pretty funny, actually. But political leaders should be held to a higher standard than trolling people on the other side of the aisle.

Same. For what I paid in taxes last year, I could remodel the kitchen, get a new car, and go on several vacations. I don’t mind paying for government but I do mind these grifters just stealing it for themselves and their friends.

That law refer to is EMTALA, and it wasn't about "illegals." It is about providing ANYONE with emergency care, regardless of who they are. And, it ONLY applies to emergency medicine. Typically that means just stabilizing a patient experiencing a genuine emergency. You cannot get chemotherapy through emergency care, you cannot get dialysis, organ transplants, mental health care, physical therapy, prescription medicines, prenatal care, chronic disease care, immunizations, dental care, elective surgeries and on and on and on through EMTALA emergency room care. And, EMTALA only represents 0.2% of Medicaid expenditures and only 0.03% of total US healthcare expenditures overall. It's NOT "$1.5 trillion for illegals." Not even remotely.

Republicans continue to lie.
