Chirping is trash talking the other team or players |
Delco parent from a different age group and they almost always mute the audio when veo's are released post game even without any antics, so you won't get the link from their parents |
Yes. And the film is not allowed to be shared currently. If you watch the film, you can see an 08 player tell the parents to stop taking to teenage girls. That's when a Bethesda father starts waving in her face saying "play the game, bye bye" and then just obnoxiously yelling. For an adult to engage with a teenage girl because she had simply had enough says a ton. The men yelled many things to the girls regarding their play and talking about the girls individually. You can hear them tell a girl that "she is scared" and then continue to interact with her. Another father said that "if you take one more touch, you're in trouble." Talking TO a Delco player. This is just 2 of many. It is highly inappropriate. I mean cmon... just let the girls play the game without having to worry about obnoxious, immature ADULTS on the sideline. |
| Chirping vulgarities like 🍆 sucker. Does that meet your standards? Bethesda breeds this despicable behavior, they should be fined at minimum |
You can most certainly hear it on the veo. 100%. The Delco parents hadn't stepped in until the girls just completely had enough. A father had gone over to ask them to stop. Then another told them to stop talking to the girls, and to shut up. But as he should, because at that point, they didn't respect it. Again, when you watch the veo, you can see the Delco girls ask the ref SEVERAL times to control the parents. He had gone over to SC once to speak about it, and he did nothing. The ref and SC are to blame. Such a shame these parents have to ruin a kids soccer game. |
You realize that VA parents are the only ones talking. |
| Many saw the VEO before it went down. From NJ and just responding to what I saw on tape. Its quite damning and troubling that Trump's america allows adults to justify their behavior like this. Towards young women may be even more troublesome. Take a pause from DCUM and watch Adolescence on Netflix for a dose of why this is a bigger issue than some soccer dads chirping |
|
This sounds more credible than previous posts about vulgarities. And yes, totally unacceptable. I saw a parent of a big NJ club get tossed by the ref a couple weeks ago for less offensive behavior, so they certainly can do it without needing to ask the coach to intervene.
Club leadership obviously knows now who the offending parents were. Why not ban them from attending future games? People post here about how clubs tolerate unacceptable coaching behaviors because they win, but does the same thing happen with parents of kids who are strong players? |
| I don’t know if this makes me a crazy soccer parent, but (1) I don’t make a sound while watching my daughter’s games, beyond mild clapping when her team scores, and (2) if another parent said something directly to my daughter more than once, you can bet I would say something and stand next to him for the rest of the game. |
| Joe the plummer has entered the chat, thread over. |
|
So now it’s believable? Ha! All of you put up with this crap and make your daughters put up with it so you can win.
Unbelievable. |
Has anyone said it was acceptable? |
| silence is compliance |
| I'm so bummed to have missed the video. |
At least a couple of Ps or one poster posting a few times insisted there had to be more to it. IOW, there was a good reason that adults were acting this way. Adults. And there is plenty of feeling that tolerating this behavior from coaches (the notorious SC apparently?) and parents is just the price to play. Just the way things are and other adults condone it by their inaction. The children see you, you know. |
