| Wish one of girls had pulled out her phone and started recording these crazy adults. |
| Just think these same people who can't control themselves and engage with teenage girls on the field work amongst us all. That gives me comfort. This board is so entertaining. It's only been a couple of days, and we've touched on poverty, race, and abuse. Also, we've got the usual folks pontificating and opining. Then, the morally superior chime in. The predictability is astounding. Keep it coming. It's a great break in the day! |

Morally superior = the barest amt of self-control needed not to scream at children in public about a game?
A pretty low standard. |
|
If all of this happened it is shameful. These girls are not little kids. The parents, presumably, have been around the game for few years and should know what is appropriate and what is not.
If they did not know at younger ages, maybe someone at the club could have explained it. To me, it simply shows a lack of class. People who do this often behave poorly in all interactions in their daily lives. |
Not sure what you are talking about. If you are going to respond to a post, read it first. I think we are in agreement. |
you can't without permission. Don't remember Linda Tripp and Monica Lewinsky? There's a reason why they were in VA. |
| LMAO...now that's hilarious...now we have legal advice entering the conversation...you can't make this stuff up!!!! |
|
Is it ok if one of the players wears a wire? or maybe a go pro on her head?
|
That isn't correct. Some states require both parties to agree to record conversations. However, it is legal to film in public places. Individuals have no right privacy in public. |
PP both condemned the Bethesda parents’ actual behavior and questioned other PPs’ claims that those parents were directing vulgarities at the Delco players. Chirping is not acceptable in my book, but it’s dishonest to equate it with vulgarity. People who embellish bad behavior beyond what actually happened help to enable it by undermining the credibility of people who are condemning what actually happened. Unfortunately, this problem runs much deeper than just youth soccer in the DMV. |
| Not a soul from BSC has condemned this, nor will they hence the thread that will live on |
| Grown men screaming about girls soccer. Girls soccer. Girls. Soccer. |
I'm a BSC parent (not 2008) and I have condemned it more than once on this thread. I suspect I'm not the only BSC parent who has done so. Maybe the souls you're referencing are BSC coaches or admin. IMO, JC should tell the dad(s) who were talking to Delco players that they are not welcome at games for the rest of the season. It's a good opportunity to send a message, and I really don't see the downside to the club in doing so. |
I'm sure most BSC parents are ashamed of the 2-3 loudmouth dads. |
Virginia is a one-party consent state. This forum is very entertaining |
