Everyone who wasn’t there conveniently painting it like the Delco parents, players and coach had nothing to do with this. You all know it takes two to tango and the provocations go both ways in order for things to escalate. This is part of the landscape of competitive sports at every level - from kids to pro. No, it is not great or normal, nobody is proud of it but it happens. Drawing far reaching conclusions from it is self serving at best.

“MDU coaches aren't exactly highly regarded but they are better than Bethesda”

This takes the cake! Sounds like you like it there and if you do, it’s the right place for you. For plenty of people it’s otherwise.

You do realize we saw the game on Veo right?

Ok Veo warrior, let’s talk about the foul and subsequent action by the delco player that set off SC to get the second yellow and the parents to lose their minds. Go ahead and spin that. I’ve seen this happen many times and almost always ends the same way, it is not unique to BSC. The provocations go both ways.

You are not the only one who has seen the video but only a few of you are using it to smear BSC using this unfortunate even to fabricate things about completely unrelated coaches and teams at the club.

Oooh you should have stated that from the getgo! Now it makes it totally ok for the BSC parents to have gotten into it with teen girls who were playing a game.

That’s the spin, you got it! Someone is saying it’s totally ok, when, how? It is not ok, the 08 parents would agree with that. The situation gets out of control because of two-way provocations over a period of time and a ref who fails to control the game. Why is this so hard to comprehend?

I see how watching a Veo and not hearing anything of what the ref or the players are saying gets you on this high horse to be conveniently judging BSC coaches and parents and dispensing moral superiority about “teen girls who are playing a game” who are flipping off parents and cursing them out. Gtfo

*yawn*

Don't fight with kids dummy.

Teams that lose four in a row at any point in the season should not be making any plans for Richmond

You woke moron. Any fool who has been to Bethesda knows that the city has representation from every racial, ethnic and religious group. You fools just live to look at the world through the prism of race. Everyone is a heathen except for you.

You woke idiot. This has nothing to do with race. Bethesda is diverse. We lived in Bethesda for ten years and we are a biracial family. My kid’s HS team was diverse. The racist is you who assumes that Bethesda is all White. You jackass!

Anonymous wrote:You sound really racist and you should stop . If they would have kept it in the neighborhood they would be at the bottom of the league like they had before Shaun came .

08 parents using similiar anti-woke talking points to silence the haters. You guys definetly have the high ground on this one, carry on.

Ah yes, the insults from a non-woke, biracial family. Explain to us, what is it about then?

Good for the Bethesda parents (or others who saw the video) to finally start providing the other side of the story. Parents should not be engaging with the other team’s players in any case, but it was always apparent to me that those parents didn’t misbehave in a vacuum (just like the Delco mom who told the Bethesda parents to shut up also didn’t act in a vacuum). And while some of us may not approve of the way in which SC reacts to how refs call the game, his assessment is usually not wrong. Bethesda should just put the video back up, because that at least reflects reality, ugly though it may be, while this thread is full of typical anti-Bethesda garbage.

Hey genius, if you have already clinched playoffs, do you think starters need to play as much? It allows non-starters more playing time. Great opportunity to improve the bench. You can doubt the 10s if you want. They find a way to win and advance every year. Stop hating.

This is essentially SC in a nutshell but it extends beyond refs to his own players and the team as a whole. He knows what he’s talking about and it is fair to say “is usually not wrong” but he berates and bullies young women, and says some preposterous things to his teams when they’re having a bad game.

Coaching kids involves a lot more than being right. I’ll go to my grave that our daughters deserve better than that.

Play the bench the BSC way…? alright papa Bethesda you have us all fooled we are all satisfied with how things are going 💯 nothing to see here.

You don’t even recognize your virtue signaling. Your first assumption is that a reference to Bethesda has to be racist. My experience as someone who is not White is that many of the parents I know in Bethesda are not White and those parents as well as White parents I know are balanced individuals who are supportive of their kids and will celebrate a good play from the opposition.

And Bethesda can field super competitive teams just with Bethesda families and those from surrounding cities like Rockville, NW DC, Potomac, etc. not saying that you will not get an a-hole parent but the vast majority will be model parents. There are over a dozen players from the area that are currently playing high level college soccer.

Don’t talk to the players. Period.

But-they-started-it is a child’s excuse. You are adults. Act like it.

Even if your coach refuses to do so.

SC also bangs one of his former players nightly since he married one of them.
