I’m the one you’re responding to AND the one who wishes is was the way it was before. Again, I wish for it because so many people don’t read or remember the prior posts and ask how a newer post is relevant or asks for clarification…which wouldn’t be needed if to if the prior posts were always visible. It is confusing for some when it isn’t immediately seen. |
Well, TBF, its national reputation's essentially that amount greater even without those restrictions. Wasn't overnight for sure, but it's been a steady ascension. |
I never knew people didn't know to do this. I always wondered why there were so many comments that didn't seem to follow the thread. |
| UNC posted some cryptic video to their TikTok page so there’s a good chance that decisions are coming out tomorrow. Even though the website says Jan 31., it’s a late date for them as the last Friday of the month is also the 31st. |

Since 2019, every single year the Early Action decision has been released before the 31st.
2019- Friday, January 25th 2020- Friday, January 24th 2021- Wednesday, January 27th 2022- Thursday, January 27th 2023- Friday, January 27th As you can seen, it’s been either the week before, or the Friday before. This year I’m guessing it will be the this Friday Jan 24 since they did that in 2020, but since that is kinda early they may stick to their guns as Jan 31 is a Friday. |
Omg no UNC out of state accepted rate 10 percent MD 29 percent at minimum. MD accepts money you got it your in |
It seems pretty certain that the release will be tomorrow. UNC, Michigan, UF, OSU & *maybe* Wisconsin on the same day!

The NC law states that the incoming freshmen class that starts in the fall must not have more than 18% of OOS students. So the acceptance rate for OOS every year will be a calculation based on how many applications the school received. This usually ends up being somewhere between 6-10% depending on the year for OOS freshmen acceptance. If Carolina goes over 18% in any one year, they will be fined unless the NC general assembly approves a waiver. This is the same law for ALL NC public universities; however a few years ago a group of schools asked for an increase in the cap because those particular schools were experiencing a severe drop in applications (ex ECU). But most of the schools, including NC State, have the 18% freshmen cap. |
