I can't sleep in the same room with my spouse unless wearing noise cancelling earplugs, which lose power after a few hours. Such a snorer with sleep apnea, and tosses and turns all night. I only sleep in the same room if on a trip.
It is not ideal. but he doesn't use his Cpap machine. No other partner had such an issue with snoring or tossing around. And plenty of rich couples slept in separate beds in the 1900s and earlier. I feel so much better rested when I sleep alone. |
| I've had my own room in our house since we moved in together and been married 10+ years. And yes we are still have sex. It is totally fine because we are both on the same page about it (I'm a light sleeper, he stays up way later than me, etc). |
| I have terrible insomnia. While I can fall asleep, I wake up and have a hard time falling back to sleep. I always start out in "our" bed and then move to the guest room when I wake up. I just can't fall asleep if I don't move. It upsets my husband, but I told him that I can't compromise my sleep. |
