Violent crime in DC lowest in 30 years - watch it soar under Trump

Boston and DC are approximately the same size.

Last year, DC had 187 murders.

Boston had 24.

On a per capita basis, the crime rate in DC is insane.

For three years the crime we all experienced and saw with our own eyes wasn't really happening and now we get to celebrate it going down. What a city.

It's so easy to win an argument when you just make up the other side's words entirely.

Who are these people saying crime didn't exist? Are they in the room with us?

You must be new here. Or have the memory of a goldfish.

DP. People like you should be in jail alongside the criminals you’ve enabled over these last 4-6 years. Your kind never wanted a civil or peaceful society, only anarchy.

Great thing for us is your time is up.

Acting USAO of DC fires 30 prosecutors.

Guess who won’t be prosecuting crime in the District!

You voted for this, dumb conservatives.

They didn’t even choose to work on Jan 6th. It was assigned to them.

30 prosecutors who sat by for 2 years and watched violent crime spike in DC. Good riddance.

It's actually down now. But, I'm sure you're right. Having no one to prosecute at all will be better.

The crime stats in recent years are worthless. Ask anyone in law enforcement. .

As has already been discussed in this thread, murder stats can't be massaged and murder is down.

Sounds like we all agree - let’s prosecute crimes! Even if they are perpetrated by black teens.

But murder is nowhere near as low it has been for 30 years. 2023 was the worst in 25 years, so a dip from that is a joke.
The whole premise of the thread is based on a lie.

The thread is about “violent” crime, not just murder. The folks who are getting robbed by a pack of thugs in Crestwood? That’s a violent crime too.

I believe violent crime is down from 2023. I’m sincerely worried about anyone who buys the story it’s the lowest in 30 years. They’re a walking victim for any con.
