That other poster can post drooling babble like "slurp up what the algorithm feeds you" but it is absolutely true that police have a serious image problem and just shrugging it off and blaming "algorithms" or pointing to some stale old "Defund the Police" stuff isn't going to somehow make it go away. Police have an image problem because rage bait videos get clicks, shares and ratings. Yes, there are bad cops, just like any other profession.

Law enforcement has over 50M interactions with the American public every year. How much have you really “seen?”

Blah blah blah. Plus we also know the bad cops get shielded by the union and other bad cops, while the good ones get muzzled or pushed out. Stop pretending there isn't a problem.

So is there any actual evidence that crime dropped in DC since Trump deployed national guard and federalized police? Since the checkpoints started, and all that?

I think if there were, it would be headline news. But I'm not seeing anything. Meanwhile all of the other things out there seem to indicate it's been business as usual for criminals and scofflaws in DC.

I heard a million dollars a day in taxpayer dollars were spent by Trump on this, yet with marginal if any yield. Make it make sense.

For that matter, any evidence that crime has gone down, since Trump massively ramped up ICE mass arrests, detentions and deportations? Weren't we told they were all murderers and rapists and bad hombres? Then why haven't crime stats gone down?
